Just tried ordering dust seal#91521-HEO-003 from Powersportus and it's discontinued.. Going to try to order a dust seal for a TRX 700 and hopefully have no problems installing the seal

Just to clarify it shows its available until you try to order it?
http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-91251-HE0-003.html

I have not had that problem yet on their site this is why I want to clarify.

I searched their site for 30X44X6 and this pops up 91251-HP6-A01 DUST SEAL (30X44X6) http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-91251-HP6-A01.html
and its even cheaper than the Pilot seal hopefully it will work, I always replace wheel bearings with bearings that are sealed on both sides so the outer seals we are talking about don't need to be anything special they are a first line of defense, I use bearings that are sealed both sides in case the first seal fails, I also coat everything with grease before I assemble so if the outer seal fails your bearings and spacers don't rust, I usually do a annual inspection of all the wheel bearings so this is not usually a problem.

Exactly... It shows on the website you can order the seal for the pilot but after you order it you will eventually receive an email stating it discontinued.. At least that's what happen to me.. I think the company hasn't updated their website to show the part is indeed discontinued..

As you said, I don't think I should have a problem with the other seal not working... The seal from the TRX has same dimension as the OEM Pilot seal..

Speed's sending me a set of collars so the only thing I need to get is the bearings... Have you had any issues ordering the discontinued bearing from Partsbuggy.com?

Ok thanks, I think most shops all use the same software for parts and pricing they are suppose to buy updates once a month and update their site with all the fresh inventory info, some shops are too cheap or maybe just too small so don't update each month my guess is in a month or so that number will show up discontinued before you order.

This is the first time I seen this happen on this site so was just wondering.

Let up know on the seal once you get it.

Thanks
