What I'm looking for is an adapter to make a 3 by 100mm wheel into a 3 by 90mm wheel. Made of metal. I guess I would call it a jig. It would be a circle with 6 holes in it. I could bolt it to the 3 by 100 wheel and just drill the new holes without screwing up. Can somebody make one of these for me? I'm not even sure what tools are required to do it. I would obviously pay you for making it for me.

This guy made one with a CD. Would have to be CD size or smaller. You could use your kids Justin Beber CD for mock up. I would want one made of metal so I can't get off track and turn a $60 wheel into a quarter worth of scrap.

With an accurate drawing, if it's just for a drill guide, I could make it. I would need; accurate lug hole diameter, outside diameter, and diameter of the ideal drill hole size. I suppose you would just need this for maybe a 1/4 or 5/16 pilot hole and then open that up to target lug size? I keep .090" aluminum here.. price? I dunno.

Or you could just make your own (one use) CD drill guide to make a more durable guide of your own material choice. Think along the lines of just getting a pilot hole first.. so that a big bit isn't walking all around.

Thanks for the reply. I want a jig so I can reproduce it at least 1or 2 more times. I was talking to the maintenance guy before I started work tonight. He said rather than make a cardboard or flimsy template and drill straight into the wheel I should transfer it to a piece of metal and test it before drilling into the rim. That way if I screw up the rim won't be ruined. Makes sense to me, and it will be my jig. I'm more of a strength rather than precision kind of guy lol.

Here are some exact prints I can use to make a template. Center punch all the holes and start drilling. If i screw up I'm out a couple dollars and my time. Once I get it right I can transfer it to heavier metal and make a jig.

I can lay it out on a thin piece like this. Up to 6 tries to get in perfect for $13.75

Once it's perfect I can drill a hole in the center and copy it onto a thick piece like this for $8.45

That's only $20 to make a jig. Not bad. Glad I asked around.
