Woah woah asshole, i wasn't trying to screw anyone. I was being completely honest in my posts. That's why i think Speedchaser backed out which was no problem. I told him everything that was wrong. Plus i just took it off the market because i didn't even know about the cracks in the chassis on the underside. Don't for a god damn second assume you know me. It's the reason i've been so successful in my business. I'm a contractor and believe me there's alot of bad contractors out there but i'm one of the good guys. I've never had to advetrise for business because all my new business comes from referrals. People don't refer you if your a liar, a cheat or a thief. I'm a honest hard working person. Hell i just quoted a bathroom remodel for my buddy's wifes parents house. He's 80 years old, just broke his leg and can't go up and down the stairs anymore so i'm going to put in a shower in half bath downstairs. I'm doing it for practically nothing since they can't afford much. These are the things i do for people even though i'm struggling right now with the economy. Oh wait i forgot i'm a lying crook though.

beside not listening to us about fixing the pilot in the first place, I think Jay1823's actions have been honest and open.

the further revelations of pilot's problems should be praised. He bought something he shouldn't of, realised it was too much work, tried to sell for what he paid, totally understandable, figured out it was too much $$ and pulled it, that's pretty decent in my book. He ends up taking the worse of it. Its not like he got a can of red paint and tried to sell it as something it wasn't.

Shame of it is that the MB guys see nothing wrong with this.

Yeah like you said Hare, if i was a douche bag i could have spend $5 on a couple of cans of red paint, sprayed all the rust down and sold it on ebay with NO PROBLEM. Probably would have gotten more than i bought it for. But there's no way in hell i'd ever do it. That's why i'll just keep it and do what i originally intended on. What's funny is i would have never seen the cracks in the underside of the chassis if my buddy didn't play that prank and hang my Pilot from the ceiling of our warehouse upside down.

I figured out in my head what it would cost to fix the trans and buy the new axle but i could sell the good parts i have and build my own carrier. I already have a bunch of parts laying around that i can use. Yeah it won't be a 100% original Pilot but that doesn't bother me like some of the purist do.

What ever happen to this project?

Can you post of pic of your home built buggy? I love the DIY stuff. Gokarts and home made buggies are still in my blood.
