and not sure which mercedez pump to go with. I don't think mine honestly works as it sits. Hoping previous owner didn't fry the Engine...

The Mercedes pump is very quiet. See if it works by removing it from the Ody and trying to pump water with it. If I have my helmet on even with the Ody not running I can't hear the pump run.

OR,you can leave it on and just watch the coolant level thru the rad neck hole.
Flick the pump on-off a few times and you should see the level fluctuate.
If ya can't get into and over the neck for looksee, use an angled mirror to see, might need torch as well.
I have a few diff shaped mirrors, daughters and dolls small mirrors-round,oval,square.
I just pick the best shape for the job,and the colour to suit my mood of the day! :-)

Hahaha. I don't think there is a switch on it. It looks like it is hardwired into the electrical system.
Just don't know what model mercedez pump to go with. It seems to have leaked the coolant out of the pump, found sticky anti freeze on the bottom of it. Now I just need to find a better place to re mount it. Any ideas possibly? Draining gas today, taking exhaust off, getting that fmf can off, looking at a new expansion chamber with the bracket on it possibly. And still looking for more parts. Going to go with some medal floor pans and maybe have metal fenders made eventually. Painted black obviously.

Just found someone put their own studs on the rear right tire today.. Looks like they snapped off or something and someone took them out to replace. Going to get a final list together and post a thread looking for all parts this week. Radiator is ordered still not sure of which mercedez pump to pick. Going with the banshee radiator. Next to tackle is the starter, electrical and exhaust.

Where is a good place to mount the pump?

If you look at the pictures I posted, you can see where I mounted mine.

I used one of the holes in the frame for the mounting of the belt guard.
