Kawonda posted here cause he wants the traffic brought from this site, agreed that he should not respond to any negative bs bashing, just ignore it, but in no doubt, he should respond to any legit questions. Simply its even better for him, this would answer the same questions many others have and show that he is open and confident in he abilities and product.

Who knows he might even get hoser's endorsement much like speedchaser has done, hes always willing and open to discuss any questions asked, willing to give his good hooks for parts just as most of us do. Now we just need to get him out to a ride. We are here to help first then if you can make lots of money that's fine too.

I pulled the links for the time being if hoser wants to restore he can. The point of this website is to meet/help fellow pilot odyseey owners, share our ideas, share our parts and set up/share our rides. The way i see is that if you post on our board to only sell stuff then don't say I am not answering anymore questions here. Fact is he is using us just for his sales and not to help or repair his machine or socialize. You can be sure he took PLENTY of good ideas from other's work that's been posted. Don't use us, be our friend, that's it plain and simple.

the whole profiteer thing was never about people making money off of us, short of assholes wanting to charge someone $4.00 + shipping for a spark plug instead of telling them they could buy at the local parts store for $2.00. We want the products, it was about people using our fourm/website to totally rip peeps off or ONLY post for their profit, otherwise they don't associate with us, which is fine by me.

don't want to post details on his steering so some could steal his idea? That willl last until someone buys the first kit then .post details pics and measurments off all the parts? The whole concept is childish.

don't like constructive criticism from your future customer base sounds like LIEwire all over again...

Constructive criticism is a wonderful tool if you learn how to use it, too bad MOST people hate criticism and don't listen, MOST look for the bad side of things that's how everything gets better each day were alive, find the downside to something then correct the problem, FOOLS ignore the downside and don't change whats wrong, don't adapt to what others really want from what your selling you end up like LIEwire.

I havent been their in a few years but Minibuggy.net is the perfect place for you that site is about stroken egos, soon as someone says something negative about something you built or designed its deleted haha

When I get the kit I will post pictures and such, for the POOA community.I do not see anything wrong with doing so, and if the darksiders go use it for there profiting-theres nothing I can do about it.I do see both points from all sides, I just as stated like the kit due to the options, the performance end of the deal will come in due time.I am not a tech guru, but I try hard to post informative threads on performance enhanced items sold to me or others.Kawonda has already upgraded the sub frame from his original postings(from our conversation yesterday),saves some bucks on shipping the new way he fabes it with it being a 2 piece, that's a bonus for the consumer IMO.

FOOTNOTE-I love to buy anything-AND I MEAN EVERYTHING/ANYTHING to upgrade these machines, some might say I am a fool, but I can't let a product like this go by without a purchase,it just has so much more then the others that have come and gone.I remember SPEED coming TO THE BOARD with his items, and he has turned out to be a blessing to our community IMO.I am hopeful this kit and the thread will lead to many good things. As I said I have no affiliation with KAWONDA at all, I just like the kit for it's stated options.

Got my kit today-if first impressions are anything I think this kit is a winner.First very well documented directions with the kit, theres even a hand signed check list for shipping-the bends are nicely done, overall first impressions are 100% satisfactory indeed.I will not be installing till spring as I want to weld it to a frame that designated for the kit, and I have to mod the frame for the Pilot steering/wire harness set-up as well Like SCPILOT did for his son's ride.

Since you went with Honda 450 stuff, by the way great choice hoping you go 04 or 05. Depending on set up works make a 12" travle shock for the stock arms and shock mounting points. This depemnding on ground clearence and from what I been reading should be ok. A 50% sag might just be the ticket for this shock witht the kit. Can not wait to see some install pics.

love to see some pics too, this kit is very interesting to me and I already have a full 400ex frontend ready to go. My plan has always been to fab up something for the 400ex arms and shocks (just got them dirt cheap) and then upgrade to a 400ex LT kit with some elkas or such. its one project of many at this point though lol :-)

ok, spring is here.I will be sending a straight 350 frame with kit to my friends shop so we can custom fit the kit onto the frame.I am also going the route SCPILOT did with a Pilot harness conversion along with Pilot steering wheel as well, so I must have my friend fab up some mounts on the steering column, rear battery box, bracket for the Pilot brake switch on the rear mount for the battery box, and some other little stuff for that conversion.I LOVE IT!
As stated I went for the Honda set-up on my kit,I have not purchased shocks as I may go with FOX AIRS like on my Pilot, I will see which is the easiest to purchase and the best option for me when I need to.I currently still have the Odykid Pilot project going, as well as my Project Tecate so I am stretched thin as usual!!

Started the project yesterday with this kit.I was impressed with the kit, well thought out, directions are spot on,and the tubing is nicely bent.A couple of things that have come up on it currently are the following:

The tabs for the upper shocks mounts and lower a-arms have too much space where they are tacked onto the main frames, they will need to be broken off and fitted better.I do not wish to fill the spaces with weld, it isn't a big deal but I want to document it here for the future purchasers.

The main squared tubing on the front that's goes through the front j-arm stubs is open, I would prefer it to be boxed on the top side to prevent mud, rocks, etc from filling it in.Again, not major but IMO needs to be boxed in.

On the rear mounts of each sub frame there is a mount that attaches the sub frame to the lower main frame. This mount as it stands right now appears to me will not allow a floor tub to be used on the 350.I have not mounted a tub yet, we will see.The mount uses a clamp style to attach to the main tube, I may just weld it onto the frame and omit the back side of the clamp. We will let you know in future postings.

On the steering design, it appears that I may have to make a change in the arms were the hiems are mounted. Now, this is a preliminary admission as I did not attach everything together, but it appears the mounting bolts for the "arm" may need to be looked into as they come close to the main sub frame tubing when turned all the way to right or left.As stated I'll picture the referred area in pictures to show exactly what I mean. This may not be a issue,we will see.A stop may need to be installed to prevent this.

The 'tacked kit" as I purchased it does require alot of welding, for a persons who isn't a welder or has limited experience like myself it might be too much.If you have experience and time to check clearances, is should not be any trouble at all, just time consuming. Now I am super anal about everything, so that adds to the overall time as well.

Th lower and upper a-arm mounts have a little too much space between them when the arms are inserted into them, but I am attributing this to the design to accommodate multiple suspensions.I will break the tabs and re-attach to fit my 450r arms and hardware.Again, not a big deal as the tabs are only tacked-but let's put it out there for future purchasers.

The overall fitment of the kit and design is great.I really like the way it is designed, unlike Afterthought there is no hiems for the tie rods to travel through, which has been a huge issues on the boards over the years. The tie rods travel between the lower frame rails and new sub frame,I don't think there's anyway you could bend the rails on either to upset the steering, unless you drive like a complete nut and intend to crush them.Sub frames mount perfectly on my frame, tolerances are perfect on the frames as far as mounting goes.Just some re-alignment issues on tabs and the kit is a winner for sure.Pics to follow in the coming days.

More here on the kit, I am impressed so far with it, and after some slight add-ons I think it will perform as well as it fits.

viewtopic.php?t=6913

good pictures of the kit on my 350.Hey KAWONDA-whats the bolt pattern for the trx 450 spindles?I looked on the site and there is not a listing for it there.I appreciate the help.

Looking to purchase some shocks from FOX for this kit, but got me alittle confused as to the which I need:

http://www.off-roadproducts.com/FOX08AIR.htm
http://off-roadproducts.com/2_0_air_shock.html

ImageShipping Discount - Free shipping when two or more shocks are ordered!
$199.99

Kawonda states the travel to be at alittle over 8 inches, the overall length to be 16 3/8 eye to eye.I was thinking from the FOX shock guide to purchase a 16 inch shock, which allows the travel of a little over 8 inches-but the 12 inch FOX are not in the ballpark-confusing to say the least, whats the criteria in ordering shocks?
