UPDATE ((Now SOLD!!)) FL350 has been sold thanks!

Bought this FL350 Odyssey from Bubba66 see this thread for details. http://www.pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10522

Goal is to put this 350 back together, service all systems, make it run again see how it runs get it rock solid mechanically, I rebuilt the Engine last winter for Bubba66 http://www.pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8672

Appears to be all stock. good tread left on what looks like stock tired and rims, if its original rubber its a pretty low hr machine, looking at wear on the drive clutch I would say its a low hr machine.

Plastic is in really bad shape tub is not bad fenders are sun baked I will have to do some patching to make them last, crappy fender is better than no fender when your in mud or water :-)

Pressure washed the entire Odyssey and seat, Engine and all the other parts were not washed yet will do them one at a time as I install them on the Odyssey.

Pressure washed the Odyssey then into the shop.

The carb was zip tied to the frame so I removed it for servicing the cables look new both work perfectly.

Removed the driven clutch for servicing want to sand off as much rust from the clutch faces before I use it so the belt does not have to wear it off.

Was surprised the clutch was not rusted to the input shaft and came right off.

I tapped the 3 holes so you can crank in a 5/16 bolt into one of the holes to spread the clutches when changing the belt.

Bolt threads was a little short so used a piece of steel as a spacer to open it up wide for sanding.

Pulled the rear caliper for inspection and servicing looks like its been serviced not too long ago pads good, pad hanger pin well lubricated, no real wear on the float pins or the caliper bracket like most.

Everything will be cleaned and lubricated then reinstalled then I will bleed the brakes to ensure they have fresh fluid, will also lube the parking brake cable and adjust so its working.

Time for an update, located a bunch of the parts I needed to get this thing back up and running info here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10544 A big thanks to Fatcat for playing local rare parts supplier.

Engine has been reinstalled and is running have several heat cycles on it and really slow rides now I have the last of the Engine mounts installed (thanks Fatcat) I can start some 1/2 and 3/4 hard runs.

Finished inspecting and servicing the rear brakes everything looks good rear brakes seem to work good, I sucked all the old fluid out of the brake reservoir and replaced with new I still need to bleed whole brake system before I am done so its full of fresh fluid.

I cleaned and serviced both the drive and driven clutches lubed rollers and slides with comet clutch lube reinstalled, washed and installed the used belt that came with it clutches are in good shape have a lot of life left in them seem to work good I will install the tiny tach in future to see what RPM the Engine is running with the all stock.

I installed the two rear down tubes on the roll bar that Fatcat brought over and straighten the frame where it was bent still need to sand and splash a little paint on the area where heated it with a torch so it don't rust.

Pictures later.

Today going to install the front suspension parts Fatcat brought over, readjust the front brake shoes again they are getting better was miss-adjusted for a long time so will take many adjustments to wear them back in to match the brake drums and stop properly, if you pump them 2 times and squeeze hard second time they lock up in grass.

Also going to put some aggressive heat cycles on it and check compression again, new never fired it was 140 psi.

Need to start patching up the fenders try and preserve whats left of the original plastic.

Also now its assembled it needs washed again really good I only washed the rolling frame all the other stuff was real dirty and I just installed so could get it running.

Looks good!

What's up with the battery tray and the bungie?

Also, is it just the perspective or is that corn REALLY short?

Bungie cord is holding the battery out of my Pilot in the battery box a new FL350 battery is on its way, Honda no longer deals with batteries they let Interstate sell all their replacement batteries so when a Honda shop orders a new battery from Honda Interstate delivers the battery, buddy Pete is a Interstate dealer so I just ordered form him THIS TIME them mutts at Interstate sent one of their name brand batteries with the Interstate name on it also made in Taiwan not USA like the YUASA batteries are, so I told him call the mutts tell them I want a Honda part number bla bla bla battery and it will be a YUASA or nothing.

Notice the grass its all brown, another month like this yard will be all dirt, corn is really short and almost dead because of the drought we are having, it rained here last night not sure how much we got other than it was not enough, guessing it was just a little more than it takes to wet the ground, 3" of rain in about 12 hrs would be perfect about now, looks like it could rain now but it has not, if we don't get rain for another week pretty sure corn will be a total lo$$ seen on the news the other day government is already talking about disaster funds for farmers, some trees are so stressed they are dropping their leaves was over at Pete's house last night his bushes and landscaping is all about to die he went to buy soaker hoses so he can water it today, send me RAIN.

To answer your question corn is usually about 3' taller right now and the grass is usually deep green like in the pic below.

Looks good. Did you have to weld on the frame where the downtubes attach or just heat? I had the same thing in mind but no time. I find another basket case I'm just gonna drop it off at your house. Lol.

Just heat was working by myself so hooked the front of the Odyssey to a tree then pulled the frame by hooking it to the rear bumper of my sons pickup truck with ratchet straps, applied heat then tapped it with a weighted plastic hammer, heat and tapping brought it right back where it belongs.

Fatcat and I came to the conclusion your son was right someone beat that roll bar to its current condition their was 5 or 6 distinct dents in the down tube you could see glad they stopped where they did.

When they bent it own it stretched the tube a little so when it was bent back the long part of the stretch buckled in a little causing a depression in the rear part of the tube, I just sanded the area down and splashed a little red paint on it to keep it from rusting the new owner can fill the depression in with body filler or JB weld if they like I didnt want to cover up the affected area so the new owner knows what they are getting, I see no strength issues with it just cosmetics.

Seems to run good and everything is working need to install one of Speedchasers bushing kits in the front suspension current bushings are lose.

Yep. He's pretty smart for a little guy. I asked the previous owner how that happened and it was like that when he bought it. That downtube was almost flat in spots. You got that thing together fast! Like I said before, I find another one like that it's coming straight to your house. You find a pile of junk in your driveway, you'll know where it came from.

Had my buddy Pete order me a battery he is a Interstate battery dealer and since Honda has turned all their battery sales over to Interstate I just order through them, this time they had to order the battery no less than THREE TIMES.

Buyer beware Interstate is trying to pull a fast one since taking over Hondas battery supply they NOT HAVE a cheap battery that is the same size and is a "replacement" for the Honda battery but is a no name MADE IN TWAIN battery told Pete send it back I want ONLY the Yuasa battery nothing else, second battery they sent was a battery with the Interstate sticker on it seems they are buying batteries and branding them as their own, told Pete to make it clear to these morons I will only accept a Yuasa batter MADE IN THE USA in a Honda box stop wasting time sending other shit and the battery will be delivered DRY or will NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Third battery they sent was the right one guess someone got the message to stick the import batteries up their asses, funny thing is all THREE batteries has the same price, Interstate takes a 20.00 battery from TIWAN then sells it for the same price as the Honda battery made here in the USA.

I only buy YUASA batteries for my ATV's I average 5-9 years life with them when properly maintained.

I charged the battery following the instructions capped it then immediately put it on my trickle charger per instructions and charged it up, old time Honda mechanic told me this is key to getting a long life out of these batteries buy one that is already wet expect 1-2 years out of it at best. this is why I only buy them dry, every 2 to 4 weeks I also put a 1-2 amp charger on them for 4 hrs.

Ok I think I am about done and its now ready to sell, I patched up the busted up front fenders a little, typical frankenfenders but better than no fenders, since a 350 runs so much better with the lid off the air box than with it on I added a second inlet to the air box so the new owner will be motivated to run it with the lid on the box not off and will hopefully install some prefilters to the inlets as many others do.

Took some fresh pictures as you can see after a little rain my grass is starting to recover and showing some green after last nights rain I bet I will have to mow by the weekend for the first time in about 10 weeks.

So 350 gurus whats a fair price, its a all stock 350 its complete I think the only thing missing is the top cover or clamp that goes on top of the gas tank, the Engine was rebuilt top and bottom has less than 1 hr run time on it, replaced the front J-arm bushings with the Speedchaser kit, has a new UNI filter, new Honda battery, also have the sticker kit someone was selling for the 350's, front tires good rear tires the tread is good but being original tires the right rear is showing signs of dry rot and has a slow leak that takes about a week to look like it 'needs air'.

I was thinking $1600.00

Because of all the recent work, I would say $1,600 is a great price. ::-:

Good luck with the sale.
