I set the reserve at 8K, low blue book is 9500 so I am really hoping it will meet the reserve. I am debating on what to replace it with. I need something to take hunting as well as commute to work with so I can keep the miles off the GTO. I am thinking of looking for a 1975 or older K5 blazer (no smog in Cali) or 1987 or newer K5 blazer (TBI, no need to tune a carb) as well as getting a honda nighthawk or similar cafe racer style bike. If I can pick up a K5 for 3k or less and a bike for around 1k I would be happy since I would have 4k or so left to pay a few bills. I would use the K5 for hunting and the bike for commuting and still have the option of driving the GTO on really hot days or rainy days.

OR I might try to find a 4wd CR-V or RAV4 for around 4k and not get a bike.

Guess I better get some vegimite, I hear it puts hair on yer sack!

Ya, I'd throw some more pics up on your ad. Interior, Engine bay, dash shot showing mileage / tuner / brake module, tire pics with a nickel on the tread, undercarriage shot or two, etc.

People need more details to set-aside any reservations & fear before shelling out $8k+ on a truck they found on the net. Too many scammer sellers, too. I always get suspicious when a seller couldn't spend $.80 to list more pics of their vehicle. Makes me wonder [1] what are they hiding? and [2] what else did they cheap-out on?

Have paperwork & receipts for the trans and T/C install? If so, mention it.

Basically answer their questions before they think to ask them. As soon as someone has to "Contact seller" with a question, or if they have to start wondering what other stuff looks like (interior, tires, Engine bay, etc)....they're about 90% less interested.

At least....that's how I've always done it. =) And I have a masters-degree in marketing, lol.

It's all in the video. Already shelled out $15 just for a freakin reserve, that's all I'm giving eGAY. They used to let you list vehicles for FREE with ZERO final value fees if you listed a classified ad. I would much rather do that. I also mention in the ad that I have more pics and to email me if anyone wants to see them.
I guess it is just a matter of time until CL starts charging for ads too.

They'll still be able to see it I think. Hopefully it cuts down on spam. It got to the point I don't even get on there unless I need something. I used to hunt deals to buy and resell. Waste of time now.
