Hey, I'm looking for an OE or OE style dual spring right-side crank seal for under the flywheel. If anyone has a spare please let me know.

OIL SEAL (42X65X11) (ARAI)
91203-HE0-003

I know at one point in time Junkboy had some viton versions made that were very high quality, dual lip dual spring but he is out of stock at the moment; awaiting more stock but no eta confirmed. I removed a single lip/spring SKF 42x65x10 version which had failed by way of passing balance shaft oil into the Engine's bottom end.

Please message me

Thank you

Just an update.

CW engines sent me a seal but it turned out to be another SKF single spring. FWIW this seal did last about 2 years for me and the Engine ran fine with is; it was just pulling in oil, consuming. It was holding pressure/vaccum but in use it was failing.

Lee (Junkboy) was able to re-order a new supply and is sending me a double lip/double spring viton seal. I'll post about it when I have it? Otherwise he said these seals he should normally have in stock. He has I think 8 more available now? junkboy64@gmail.com. He usually has them on ebay? They are not Honda seals but should be a solid option.

Man its hard to beat OEM. I have a few oem, but I can not sell them for cheap. Glad you found one. There have been many guys confuse the wiper for a second seal. As you know it has to have two springs to be a double lip seal.

Looking forward to seeing details of junkboy seal.

Do you mind if I ask what they sell for?

Are you sure the junkboy seal is double spring? I only see one spring and a wiper - which is often confused as a seal. $50.00 for that seal seems like a ripoff to me. Buyer beware!

Ya know, when this site was active we all watched out for each other. Darn shame it is so slow.

Yea it’s not a double spring seal. Bummer. However, it is still a very high quality seal. The inner lip is thicker, the spring is bigger and stronger, and the wiper is also thicker than an SKF single. Measuring new vs new, SKF seals measure about 0.5mm wider that this Viton seal; so it is going to run tighter. Viton also should last longer and has higher heat rating than the SKF.

At this point I have no other choice. I must go with this Viton seal as it’s my only best option.

If you look at the pic of would would be the new seal. It has a ribbed sealing on the OD. The stock is smooth.
Any options on this?
I told the MFG to use a shift speed of 8500, Engine oil on one side and an air fuel mix on the other. It will be used as a two stroke Engine main seal.

that looks thick enough that you could possible use 2 single lip seals back to back.

They show the correct seal for sale by a company in France.
I think I posted about this before in another thread but don't remember which one.
Here is the link for the seal: https://www.francejoint.com/standard-shaft-seals/dc/
It's a DC style just like we need. DC 42x65x11
I have ordered DC seals for the FL350's from England with no issues so I don't see why ordering seals from France would be any issue either.

Yes there are companies out there who would love to take all your money and produce 10,000 seals for you... I have yet to find a place which would sell me just a few seals. Most ignored my requests etc. I went with the JunkBoy single spring seal. As mentioned its made of Viton which is good, and the lips on the seal are much thicker, and a much stronger/larger spring than the standard SKF single. No affordable options otherwise.

Minimum quantity I can get made is 300. Still awaiting quote. Any interest in these? Am thinking about it just don't want 200 seals sitting here. Will be same as original seals.

Unit price?
Like zero mentioned the qty to order is a lot for most of us.

300 @10 is three grand. That's a lot of money out there based on Engine rebuild per year.
At that rate the price of the seal would retail at about 37.00 each to break even.

If was keeping mine I would opt in for 10.
Again thanks for doing this.

Anybody see a reason why these double seals could not be used in place of a regular seal application?

Would the double seal be better than a single seal in a single seal application?

If the double seal would be better than a single seal in a single seal application then sell off excess seals for use in a single seal application?
