I woke up this morning to check eBay and had a violation email from eBay saying I violated eBay's "circumvention policy" saying my item was not listed under the right category and that I was trying to avoid fees. I have listed a lot of things on eBay as well as bought things. I have no clue what I did wrong. And now trying to get a hold of eBay as my account as been locked from doing anything. So trying to get this straightened out to get it listed again. I honestly have no clue what I did wrong.

Did you list from your cell phone? They won't let you list a vehicle from the mobile app. So some people mistakingly list it under parts and accessories. Fees are less for that category, even if you didn't mean it that way eBay takes it as your truing to pull one over on them.

Was helping a friend try and list an ATV the other day and found this out. Kind of stupid but it sounds like you have have done this not knowing.

Yes sir that is what I did. Listed it from my cell phone. I did not know you could not do a vehicle from your cell phone. Thank you for the heads up. Looks like you have helped me to hopefully fix problem. Thank you very much. Hopefully will be able to relist after contacting eBay.

Good luck. EBay can be a pain to deal with. Let us know how it turns out. Hope they unlock your account. Didn't realize listing in the wrong category would make them go that extreme. I can see ending the listing.. But freezing your account. Its not like eBay really needs more money haha

Ebay can be a pain in the A$$. I take this as a sign you should sell it to me at a hell of a deal. Make the deal so good I can not say no. :-)

I've also seen TWO listings (one I won, and one I was watching) where the listings were "removed by eBay". They must've made some software/policy changes after their recent hack. Whatever they did, its having its issues.

you would think that ebay would work with you on it and just correct the situation. all of a sudden ebay has changed drastically makin it all hard once again. wat is it goin to be like in the future when we need parts and no one is listing on ebay because they are pains in the you know what.
