He says its an 89 with a rotax rave 558 with electric start.that's all I know about it.It seems like I've seen it before for sale, paint job looks familiar.I know nothing about that Engine.I'm interested in buying it,should I stay away or what questions should I ask him?

Needs lots of work. Parking brake arm snapped off. Pipe? that's gotta be loud on the left ear, look like oil tank sticks out back a bit? Never heard of a 558. 582? 583 maybe?

looks like it has long travel arms with stock length shocks? look at the ghetto rear upper shock mount. Id like to know more about the driven clutch mod. Is there another shaft support? if not that thing is going to be aweful hard on bearings. Plus, no filters on carbs. has it been run this way? and that stock radiator is not quite enough cooling for a 583. if it was ran much like that and without a temp gauge or warning light i bet it ran pretty hot.

I would say go for it, if it is a good deal snap it up. Front arms and shocks look good, it does not look bent the Engine no mater what it is is a mass produced Engine and it does not look like a hack job. Buy it, I think you just might be happy with it!

Your fab skiills will be in full force for that. You have any experience with that Engine?
I think you should keep looking for a stock pilot that's all there.
Shame you had to sell mine, it was a great ride imo.

If it's been run long without air filters that Engine might end up being more of a problem than it's worth. I am no welder but just looking at the quality of those welds would make me walk away.

ALSO why oh why would you mount the battery in the front behind the bumper, did anybody see that? That's got be a design flaw, you hit something and that battery acid goes all over you, that is a poor design, imagine what else is going on with that thing.
