I pulled off the cylinder on the Pilot that I got in fall because the original owner said it was at 135 on a compression test. It did have a nasty exhaust leak at the manifold/pipe.....gaskets were toast. Well everything looks real good and still on the stock bore. Not a mark on the piston and can still see the hone marks on the cylinder walls. So dose anyone have a stock 80mm set of rings and head gasket laying around that they would want to sell? I know I can get a whole gasket kit, but thought someone might have a couple spare head gaskets they might part with one. As far as the rings.....well if I don't find any than will just go with a Wiseco stock 80mm kit. It may be a long shot but worth a try before purchasing a new piston kit. Already have the base and reed gaskets thanks to speedchaser and new exhaust gaskets from partzilla with a couple of other odds and ends from them. Let me know......thanks.

use a different tester it would read different. one of my pilots reads 135 for 2 years now with no issues None of my pilots read that perfect number like the book says and I own 7, all in the 135-140 In my opinion you should have left it together fixed the leak? and been done. Why not a light ball hone and put it back in?
