I have a 1985 Honda FL350 for sale. It is in gorgeous shape. It does not run the way it should. I had planned on fixing it and keeping it, but I broke my wrist and have been off work so I could use the cash. Also hard for a righty to wrench on anything with just a left hand lol! I pulled it out of a barn. It had been sitting for at least 5 years with the gas left on. I drained the gas, put a battery in it, and got it started. It FLEW the first night I had it out. The next day, and from then on, it won't rev up all the way. Almost sounds like a rev limiter. The exhaust is extremely loud. I can shake the pipes when they're off and you can hear the innards rattling around. I have another stock exhaust I pulled out of that barn but have not tried it yet. I put 2 brand nos exhaust springs on, and it only helped a little. I cleaned the carb out, and it helped a little. I put a brand new battery in it. It has a comet 94c clutch on it. The trans wires were grounded. It has not had the crankcase vent modded. The dipstick for the balancer oil was chewn off at the end so you couldn't see the level. I had drained it and filled it to factory specs before I read about keeping it to the low mark. I then had lots of smoke and oil coming from the pull start. I have learned why that is. Maybe it's not revving up because of oil in the stator area...I'm not sure. The pull start chord was cut, but I had the handle in my box of parts. I opened it up, the chord was still there, so I hooked it up. I started it, and it got caught inside and was making an awful noise. I cut the rope. Still made the noise, so I opened it up and the guts were chewn up so I took the guts out. The shifter works great. The brakes work great. I have a box full of NOS Honda parts for it. The lights work although when you switch the high/low switch, it doesn't seem to make much difference. I have two other rear rims for it with really aggressive bigger tires. I don't think I am forgetting anything, but I will keep thinking and update if I come up with anything else. I have been extremely honest and posted this on hear figuring you guys would appreciate this more than some schmuck on Craigslist. So I am hoping not to get to many lowball offers. This is probably one of the cleanest, most original fl350's I have seen on the internet. I would like to get about $3,000 for it, but I have seen some in this shape higher, some lower, so I don't really know where to start. Obviously I could get more for it if I got it running perfect, but that's kind of tough right now with the arm. I would love feedback, and will entertain any offers. Thank you for reading, and now I will try to figure out how to upload pics lol!
