Yes and No. From the factory, Ody's came bored to 80mm. Then due to overheating issues, Honda did a recall and changed the stock bore diameter to 79mm.

Unfortunately, the 79mm or 79.5mm pistons are as rare as hens teeth and the rigs are even more rare yet! The only option we FL350 owners have is 80, 80.5, 81, 81.5 and 82mm pistons and rings from Weisco.

do you have the part numbers for the 79 & 79.5 piston & rings? im pretty good at tracking things down if i have part numbers.
i know i have a used piston that is that small size.. id have to look & see if it shows wear. my oddy did not get the recall & had the straight fin head before i put a water cooled head on it and when the guy had the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) rebuilt he saved the piston & rings. ive never opened the box to look at it.

Thanks guys. I just bought one. man they cost too much...
so if honda dropped the 80 to a 79 and we go back to 80 are we going to have a heat issue?

They run hotter but not hot enough to kill them. Along with the smaller bore, Honda increased the size of the cooling scoops also to help direct more air into the Engine compartment. A simple bilge fan as I mentioned in the PM I sent you is a good solution.
