One thing to remember is these are fork seals. Pressure no issue. There are not designed as a rotory shaft seal. The plus is ms2. The fork will slid through the seal at a greater rate than an ignitable air pump rotational speed in RPM. The heat applied to the seal would be about the same if all working correctly. Fluid temp in fork my even be higher than Engine oil and heat soak from combustion.

Quick note from a seal mfg. Not saying they will not work. For me only if need be to get by.
Another item to consider is the environment the seal
Are used in fuel may cause an issue with seal compound again may not.

Still awaiting quote from manufacturer. These will be made in USA if that makes any difference.

Lets see what ridgerun comes up with here.
If it falls through, I think I have another second best option.

Wow $2500.
Yeah that's a bit to much for one guy to hand out.
It would take for ever to get your money back.

Since it looks like ridge has taken a pass on this I would like to post a possible solution.
There is a company in Poland that sells double lip DC style seals close this size.
I say close because the width is 5mm so not the same (11mm).
I don't see how this would be and issue and you could put in two of these seals for double the protection.
Poland is not a backward commie country anymore. They also take Visa and Mastercard. I have ordered stuff (DC seals) from europe (England) and had no issues.
Here is the link: https://e-simmering.pl/en_US/p/Shaft-Se ... 5106B/2316

Edit: Based on my suspect math that's about $12 can per seal.

Man its hard to beat OEM. I have a few oem, but I can not sell them for cheap. Glad you found one. There have been many guys confuse the wiper for a second seal. As you know it has to have two springs to be a double lip seal.

Looking forward to seeing details of junkboy seal.

Do you mind if I ask what they sell for?

Rmesser. I pm'd you about what you would charge me for one of your crank seals

CW Racing has single lip seals. I know the OE ones were dual seal but he said they work fine, if that will work for your application.

Chris at CW racing goes by Bmxpunk on eBay I believe, and he is out of Campbell California. It would be better to call him and talk though. Every time I have called him he has either answered or called me back in a timely manner.

I second that fully, he is one of the best knowledge sources in the Ody world.

bmxpunx4088 is his eBay name.

I have a friend I was talking to who says he can have any type seal made. He just needs specs for it. Does anyone know the information I'd need to give him? There isn't a minimum since he has a big business and has custom seals made all the time for his business. He owns a pump/well/electric-motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) business. He's always having custom seals made for motors he's rebuilding. Thought it'd be worth a try
Thanks
Dave

This is the seal that is no longer available, correct me if I’m wrong. It is a double lip seal. I’m sure others will chime in with more information. If you have them made let me know I would be in for 3-4.

Is that enough information to send to a manufacturer? Should I attach pictures of it also? First I want to confirm these can be made. If they can I will probably send one to a member here for inspection to confirm they'll work. If they are up to quality standards then I'll order as many as people want for my cost.

Thanks for the quick reply

I am going to send this off this morning to my friend

Bunch of stuff flying around here.

1st, CW racing sent me one of their seals. Its an SKF double lip, but the inner lip is the only sprung part of the seal. This seal does work but it is NOT OE style. It works but after 2 years mine failed; this is the seal that failed on me and why I posted this whole thread to begin with as the Engine was sucking up the balance shaft oil - dry.

2nd, if anyone has a seal 'made', it needs to be a dual spring dual lip seal

3rd, the 'JunkBoy' seal on eBay is exactly like the SKF seal with a inner lip spring only. The plus side of this seal is that it is made of Viton and has a much thicker inner lip, but since the outer lip is not sprung it is still not OE style. I went with this seal simply because I had no other choice after looking for weeks I could not find OE nor OE style.

I told my friend it needs to have both springs. With Christmas around the corner it could take a bit to get a response

I have not looked through all my parts boxes yet. I know I have some - Need to get through all of my boxes so I know how many I have.

Sorry - not trying to mislead you - its just a fact.

I was planning on selling a complete Engine seal and gasket kit, but need to get organized. Need more time in the day.

You can get more seal information here.... viewtopic.php?f=37&t=9644

These seals can be made. Got a quote from American high performance seals I think was the name. Only problem 300 minimum quantity order at 8.32 each. Same as factory two lips two springs.
