Outer seal is only going to last as long as the grease you put in the lips of the seal last, soon as the grease quits doing its job the seal will be worn to a useless condition in seconds.

Might help keep dirt and dust away from the factory located seal...

Right now the price is less than the 2 seals cost, dunno what shipping will be.

Hoser do you think one of us should get it and try it? or not worth the time?

I guess it bolts to the two holes I marked in the picture, are they used for anything else?

If you can get it at the right price I think it would be worth trying, I forget how much room their is behind the clutch, my guess was the same the two bolts go in them factory holes your pointing to.

my project pilot has one fitted and it does'nt look like its been taken off in the last 10 years, I'll CSI it with photos as i take it off to show the results. It looks like a good idea to me as it will likely save the inner seal if anything gets wrapped around the crank i know when i popped my clutch the other day the shaft was a bundle of wool and the add on seal likely protected the main seal.
