Hey you Blokes,I'm after a spare/replacement 01' Skidoo 600 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) complete please.Must have 150psi compression,low hours/use.
Need it for the Drakart. The closer to SoCal the better for transport purposes to Downunder.

hey so your after a type 583? I have seen several running go in the 300-400 range. not sure about 150 psi, but if its a spare and needs new rings, so what. install them and then slap the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) on the shelf. that's my plan .. I maybe able to locate one for you, but I suspect shipping would be your biggest expense baz ..

Thanks Sun,(1st name?) but it's a Type 593,597cc,Skidoo mxz600, 01 model.
You don't need to tell me about postage costs Mate! But beggars CAN'T be choosers! :-)
The thing is...there is NO snow here, and consequently no sleds, parts, services etc,get what I mean?
So the more motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) I get,then the less time,$$$,races I lose.
To anyone that can locate and help me with one(maybe even a complete 600RS for conv? :-) I will be deeply greatful and will name my next child after you!

nah my 1st name is actually Mike, I'm a pale mofo so I picked up the sunblock nickname several years back.

I think the rotax 593 are reed valve motors while the 583's are rotary and make more torque. It would be my guess that both will fit in the frame. I wouldn't mind to have a rotax 670 which is the largest rotary they make, but they are 3-4x higher than the 583's so I am not sure that 100c's is worth all that extra money. I have never searched around for the 593 but will take a look. If it were me, I would get one in average shape and just hang on to it. use it as a spare and then rebuild the primary motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in the future if it ever has a failure of some kind. This will give you plenty of time to collect the rebuild parts at low prices.

only one I could find :

http://wausau.craigslist.org/rvs/1833021496.html

I would really investigate the 583's .. you get get two of them at that price easy. I think they are just a bit older and more common in the used market. Everything I have read about them is very positive.

If you find one in the US you want, I can try and get the shipper to send it to me, and then I'll just ship it to you. I would imagine most US sellers would be weary of shipping to AU.

Thanks for all ya help(whitie) Mike!
I have emailed the seller for pics details, comp psi etc.
What state are you in(not mental) :-) What does BC stand for(don't say before Christ) :-)
If this one has reasonable comp etc, could be a goer?
Thanks again Mate!

I'm in NC, North Carolina. It would be a pretty good distance to ship from WI. I would think at least $100 for shipping.

NC...Nuthin' could be Finer? Right? :-)
I have emailed another bloke that might be able to help me out there,as he lives in WI,just not sure yet how far from Phillips WI .
Main thing I need is someone to check it all out/verify for me,and arrange postage, ensure PROPER packing to survive the trip.I think if I went by air there is a weight limit, around 30-40kgs? I think that would mean 2 parcels,1 with bottom end,1 with top end seperate?
Otherwise all 1 parcel by ship would take about 2-3 months all up.
