If you cant find one...make one. A sheet of gasket material is cheap....(like you n me) lol I do it regularly. :-)

It's strange, because the gasket set I have didn't have this gasket in it! Usually I trace my gaskets from my set and make new ones and save the originals for masters.

I was looking to get one cheap without having to make one. I managed to salvage 95% of the gasket and I will make one if I have to. I am at the point now that I have used up all of my gasket material and I will have to go purchase new sheets. Figured buying one would be cheaper than buying sheets of gasket material.

Someone should scan the a decent gasket set on a scanner/copier at 1:1 scale. Then the DIY-gasket-makers will never need a gasket kit. ;)

Good idea but on this gasket in question he can just use the cover itself, you can lay a piece of notebook paper on it and rub with your finger get a exact outline of what you need.

One of them laser gasket cutters would be the bomb buy a huge roll of gasket material and start making gasket sets :-)

My sister in law has one of those craft cutters. Too bad they won't cut gaskets! Those would make short work of gasket making!

Material too thick?

What about one of them small CNC wood carving things?

How about converting one of them vinyl graphics machines to cut them they have to be getting cheap by now?

Don't know. I've never asked how thick of material they will cut. From what I remember, she paid around 150 bucks for it so it would be cost effective.

If they would cut gaskets, one could recover the cost pretty damn fast!
