Post subject:  I need to know

I need to know what tools I will need to buy; where to get them; and what to spend...
First rebuild or top end... I will make a leak tester. I need the telescoping bore gauge, and caliper for the piston. What is a pin puller??? What about a wrench for torqueing the jug down...???

Parts, over the obvious... piston kit,
What 2 gaskets???
I am the type that once I start something I won't quit till I am done... so I don't want to ride the 45 miles into San Antonio to many times...chasing parts...

Have you gone through the service manual they should show you all the tools needed including the pin puller, the pin puller pushes the pin out without damaging the piston or the rod I attached a scan out of a 250 manual to give you an idea, I make my own using deep wall sockets threaded rod washers, rubber etc.

Go to homo depot and get a piece of 1/4" threaded rod 1' long, you probably have nuts and washers laying around the shop if not buy them too, you have a set of deep wall sockets? find one that fits use it for the pipe, make your own for a few bux.

Tool you need for the cylinder nuts
