A little info on work. The new set up shaved three pounds off. The verical travle well be 12" inches and has a tire scrub of three inches thu out travle. the old front end had a center to center frotn to back of 63.5" and new has 63 ". the new width it 59" at sag. The stager is 110lb front and 210 lb rear non rider, 170 lb front rider and 270 lb rear with rider and fuel. New shocks will need to be 15.5 " long eye to eye center with a stroke lenght of 5.5 " the shock angle is 5 deg forward. Next step is to find shocks and make bump steer kit.

No. I did not make these their are a set I had in garage that I made fit. I wish I had the talant it took to make them. If I made them It would look like a popsikle stix conversion. I did do a lot of looking around befoe converting as welll as asking questions and checking out others machines. I do not even know if they will work untill I get done and test I hope nobody try to copy. If so do at there own risk. I just found it funny they fit so easy and thought I would share. If ya have any pointer and comments I always listen. I'am just a back yard hacker.

Articulation pics without the steering and shocks hooked up don't tell me anything heh

Any detail pics of your tie rod setup?

How much wider than stock? Looks wide.

Honest usable travel is ?

No tie rod set up yet. If no bump steer kit you will get 8" travle. No bump steer kit extend rod 2.5" and your done. New front end width tire to tire outside edge 59". Note: stock pilot is 59.5" over all width. These arms are available in a minus 2 and take it to 57" using same shock locatins only reducing travle slitly. Bump steer kit, cut old rods down and re thread to new lenght and make swevel kit and plate. No funky monkey kit. This will alow a longer shock giving it a full twelve with the shock spec I noted in previous post. I could go longer using a 16 " shock but its starts to bind things up. That is why I posted next step is to make bump steer and get shocks. One reason for using the wide set is to accodate the rear I will install. It will push out the rear + 4 to 62" The 3" scrub of the front should track well with the new rear. This set up will be dune only chasing Draks and LT pilots.

I have no intention of selling of tring to profit just shareing hoping to get feed back to make work properly. I also like to tinger and have fun doing it. Any body who chases draks and LT pilot are always looking for more travle and better brakeing.

Anything else, ask away I do my best to ansawer. Caster and camber setting will be posted as I proceed as well as turning radius and evaluation.

No bump steer shock info. 14.125 long eye to eye center with stroke 4" sag set at 1.125 ". Tire scrub 1.125 " Frame measure piont (Lower rear a-arm bolt) full topout 13.5" and full bottom 5.5"= 8" vertical travle. Thes were taken where the tie rod wheel to wheel rotate with 1/4" play from bar and bolt with 3 deg of bump steer. This was measured with a toe of plus 1".

adnoh, I think your setup looks really good and you did a great job........ i was going to build a long travel kind of the same way until i bought the Revolt, the only thing i would do is bring your stock spindles, hubs, brakes, and wheels with you on your trips, i only say this because the spindle snout diameter on the quads are much smaller than the Pilot and myself and talking with others feel it might brake with the added weight of the Pilot, and i would hate to see you go on a trip somewhere and break a spindle and be stuck..... you could always throw the stock ones back on real quick and be playing again. i hope they don't break i just always like to have plan B..........

On the subject of roller bearings. Boss Bearings "DLR conversion" might be a nice touch to the hubs $60.00 to convert and better impact resistance. for those interested, www.Boss Bearing.com or (888) 400-2677. Any other Ideas. Thanks Rich.

its not the hub its the spindle snout (the metal stud pressed into the aluminum spindle) that the hub rides on, compare the diameter of the stock Pilot spindle snout to the quad aluminuminum spindle snout the quad is much smaller.
