Idid a little work on upper relocat shock bracket. The two bolt system made me say UM. The edge of the bracket sets againt the existing bracket tight and will not let it move under compression. The problem two bolt holes and force thing move. If the mounting bolt comes loose the bracket will rock under droop alowing the axle to bottom out OOCH. Options: drill third hole UHHHH. The bracket is tempary untill new upper arm is built moving shock into stock bracket. So I did not want extra 10mm hole for questions like whats that there for to which I would have to explain my math skill or the lacking of. So I oped for a solution once again thanking dear old dad. A load shear check bolt. Thanks DAD. I will post pics explaining the issue and solution. Yes, grade 2, 6mm bolt one hole and a drop of lock tight.

Few more pics. The reason I used a 6mm grade 2 is #1 it should shear under 800 lb of force, sprung weight( guess, non engineered) after rocking back and forth againgt bolt. #2 easy to drill out. #3 A quick check post or pre ride can tell if head is missing. Yes I over drilled the hole so it will rock and shear as well as fall out and not stick in the hole. While setting still the load if loose will be setting against exhisting bracket no visual clue.

You now If my head did not hurt from all the idea's floating around in there I would just have called ATV racing and saved me a lot time. Where's the fun in that thu. Plus I got some new tools. What good is a tool if you don't use it.
