The base jug is a 350 but has been bored to accept a bigger sleeve then had a water jacket added. Also this particular one has,a different exhaust n intake welded on. I have several of these anda ton of fabbing, skill went into them. Idid not make it, just pick em up when i find em. Oh, the yz 490 pistons are, used because they havethesame wrist pin instead of a larger onelike most big pistons. We have to cut off thelong skirts of the piston otherwise it hits the bottom of the case n will not complete the revolution. Hope that answers some of the questions. Gary
Thanks very much, right to the point, that's what I wanted to know.
I have been looking close at those pics. It looks to me like they cut most of the oddy cylinder off and cut the YZ ( it could be a 500 Honda jug ) then welded the two parts together and bored the whole mess to accept the sleeve. I can see the casting marks on the water jacket on the picture which shows the piston protruding above the top of cylinder. Those cast marks are not home made. Man someone knew what they were doing. What a great job and thinking. Cool.
