OK, its not here, and has a ways to go before she gets here, but its coming...taking shape if you will. Should be a very unique 350 to say the least. I like my thread title! LOL

I started a quick test fit of the Briggs Beastie 90hp 350 Engine and pipe to the lowered roll cage 350 frame. The EEE pipe will fit, although its at a strange looking angle. I don't like the stinger sticking out like that, I tend togo over more than I should, lol. The pipe will clear the Kirkey seat with the heat shield too. Carb/intake clear the cross bar by a few inches, whew. I was afraid I was going to have to cut it.

What I do not like is the radiator angles n size, good thing it will have a large fan to move air. Lowered cage and tall seat headrest will be an issue for normal location. I may have to put it on the down tubes above the Engine.

Other problem is a fuel tank. Stock tank is out of the question (I think), pilot race cell may work just above the drive clutch. I also have a large spun tank, but I really don't think it will fit with the lowered cage and pipe being kinda high. Hope I do not have to build a custom tank like AKpilot, nice but very expensive.

It is getting TRX450R Honda front suspension and a longer travel custom rear. Sweet!

Updates as they start happening this year. I have a powder coating guy lined up when all welding is done. Cant wait for St A's next year!

Gary

Reloading pics...don't remember what was there before the A holes attacked the website.

Any 350 clutch will fit, side looks different because there is a double bearing set on the clutch side. I am working on a race setup HRD clutch that they used to run on them, if that doesnt pan out...a good ol reliable 102C will do just fine. I also have a set of heel clickers for a 102c for better tuning of shift out points. Maybe I should try a stock Salsbury just to see how it will hold up? :-)

find a silencer with a 90 deg. elbow on it... to tuck it into the frame... And place the radiator on the left side like the lichecks with a scoop...

Shall we meet at the bottom of "Dead Horse Bowl"
Last one to the top buys the first round...

So we should plan this st a. trip forsure for next year. we can bring 5 pilots from socal and do a week trip. that would be awsome. how is the weather there during the summer hot? or perfect for riding?

Very nice Nukem, very nice. How will the head room be in that monster?

Looks like you may have me beat in the hp to weight arena.....that thing looks light! Everything I build seems to be weight challenged

That reminds me of the sled Brad at Arctic Cat made. He took a motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and cut it in half and then cut the sled down the middle and narrowed it all in a attempt to shed weight and size for his boy. He anticipates the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) putting out about what your Briggs will be at, basically half a mountain cat 800 full race motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). It has taken him so long that now his kid rides a full size sled...oops.

YES - YES - YES

We did a Summer "06" Trip a while back 6/6/2006
(That one was a week at Killpecker, WY and a week at St. Anthony, ID)

Weather was perfect for riding - not to hot, not to cold...

So lets do for a Summer "12" Trip - week of 6/12/2012
Maybe 2 weeks... (The place is Killer...)

Count me in

Post subject:  Re: Something wicked this way comes...

Thanks again guys, yup the trip next year will be happening. I started a thread in riding trips and we can work out all the where n when stuff there.

You got it AKpilot...I am really going to try to keep it light has I can without spending too much. Actually should be close to the same weight as stock, the custom front n rear suspension is where the weight might come back...but the longer travel will make it all worth while! Prob still going to be too short of a machine for being too aggresive in the whoops, guess we will see.

Head room is closer to the noggin but still have plenty of room for me 6'0". What I remember it is about 5" lower and a little wider. I made a seat lowering setup with a tilt, I may make another. Sure makes accessing the Engine, pipe, balancer oil, etc. easy. Here is a link to the thread with some pics of it... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6939&hilit=tilt
