Well I finially got one, I bought my ATC250R new in 83 in about 86 I was in a Honda dealer that had one of these 300cc kits on the counter priced at $175.00 and like a fool I passed it up thanks to Odystable I now have one!

Here is a crude pic of a sheet that came with the kit, I didnt take the pic, if I had that sheet I would do a nice scan :-)

I got a complete Engine that came in 2 boxes, the bottom end in one box and the top end in another, GREAT packing Odystable.

Here are some pics of the bottom end keep in mind these are 'as found pictures' or as it came out of the box, sometime in the future when I get caught up on projects I will go through this bottom end and do a complete CSI.

Here are the cylinder pics, first thing I notice is it has a wide exhaust bridge dunno if this is good or not?

The next thing I noticed is the exhaust ports are very squared off they don't have a eyebrowed shape to them.

Looking at it from the bottom side.

Notice it looks like the exhaust was backing up into the transfers.

Ports need more bevel, the bottom of the cylinder even has a sharp edge.

Here is a pre recall 1985 FL350 Odyssey head, bolts right on.

The attraction here is the more cooling fin area, dunno that I need it just nice to know their might be a use for this head, once the cylinder is installed on my 3 wheeler will see how the head fits and if it will clear the pipe.

Looking at the dome through the cylinder.

I took a scribe and went around the dome to see how much bigger the 350 head is, I need to check the cc's and design of this head, that small bit outside the scribed line could be remove by removing about .025 from the gasket surface of the head.

File comment: Here is the stock 300cc head I scribed a line their also, notice the squish ban on the 300cc head is wider than the 350 Odyssey head

While I had the cylinder on the bench I thought I would use the molding silicone on the transfers and intake so I could see how bad the casting flaws are and to better see the shape of the transfers.

Nice, have fun with that. I am going to start working on my 83 soon too, it has been sitting in pieces for far too long.

I wonder if you could just bolt an entire fl350 top end on?
