Hello All I do not post much very dizzy lately
I Have slickricks Cranks here and I been going thru them and I finding some Interesting Data
First off the crank that was welded and that had move out of concentric
I tried to straighten it back up but it was not moving back to where it need to go even after grinding the weld off the side that cracked.
so I clean up all the weld and pressed it apart then clean every thing up for inspection
this is was I have found see pic's and NOTES below
with the findings that i have found we have about .003" press fit or .0015" preside
witch is good but the crank that was welded should have been trashed or fixed on the clutch side
If you look at the sizes below I have found that the crank get hammered on the compression stroke
The Bad crank can be fixed but my cost to much. the bore would need to be honed out and a step crank rod pin would need to be made and pressed in the wright way and noted on the crank how to remove
Thanks For looking Speed
