Depending on your riding ground conditions,sand,rocks,general crap get ground into that slot area/notch and eventually wear thru to the sliding pin hole.
Then the crap enters the pin hole and wears that out too! Aaarggh!
A better way of shielding/protecting that area needs to be addressed.
I fixed up one calliper by rolling my own bush around a suitably sized drill bit shank, from a thin polished sheet of stainless steel.
The SS sheet was just scrap from a kitchen flue,worked perfectly,but everytime I've tried to fix/fill the rotor slot hole,it does'nt last long.
I have lots of pics of it in my threads,maybe the FL800/AC550pilot thread? I'll look.
