Post subject:  This is how I spent my summer

As many of you know, last year I bought a small diesel box truck. Over the winter I did the exterior and had it painted.

This summer I decided to get the inside finished.

Here are some pictures along the journey.

Just barely, it is now 10' 5", Drak is 10', will need to strap it down very securely.

Wow, you've been busy, its come along way since the last time I saw it. You sure you want to take it to LS, it might get dirty. I like the diamond plate backsplash n floor, looks rugged. Looks like you covered all the amenities and just in time for fall. BTW how was the spring Colorado trail riding with the kid, do you have any pics to post?

Yes, that is a refrigerator, runs on 12 or 120 volts, this is the type that many truckers use.

MPG, best is about 15, worst was about 12 towing a trailer, this is at 70-75 MPH, it has a 55 gallon tank, so a trip to Ted's can be done on one tank, but it is on fumes when I get there.

We had a great time, covered a lot of territory, only have a couple of pics, maybe Ted has more.

Maybe time to put some foam or rubber blocks on the Drak?

Very nice Jerry, you don't like to "rough it" do you. Where is the servants quarters? LOL I will have to check it out in person my next trip to Denver(well after the Obama dog and pony show). Get some action pics while down there. I have not rode sand all year, needing a fix BAD.

Ok, here is just about the final touch. I got this awning as a real bargain, it is an A&E Weather Pro, normally cost about $1,000 to 1,400, found a deal on a takeoff from a new RV, only cost me $100. The down side of it is that it is only 8 feet long, but for the price, I can't complain. The really nice thing about it is that it is electric, so it is easily handled by one person, goes out in about 10-15 seconds, and in in about 30 seconds. It has a wind sensor to close it in case you're not around when the wind comes up, however I have heard about problems with that part of it, so I am connecting it to a simple in and out switch just like I did on the winches.

Coming along good and Im ready to see what all you have done to it. The final touch is the Ice Cream music playing in the background. Or you could just get one of those mariner bells. In my day there was no fancy music playing . Our ice cream man had a bell, he pulled the string and the kids came a runnin. See ya Jerry

I should have know when I did the A/V that I missed something. Problem is that if I get the music, people will be wanting ice cream.......wait a second, maybe there is some sideline income potential here!
