Post subject:  Trailer Upgrades

Seems that I have finally made the last set of trailer upgrades to be long-term camper happy. As much as anything else I can sulk inside when it is raining or actually listen to the radio. The radio I chose also plays CDs and DVDs and has a remote. Very handy for laying in bed or snoozing in the lounge chair. The monitor is 14" and folds down from the ceiling and it has a remote too. The speakers are surround type meant for an RV and are located in all four corners attached to the ceiling. Everything works nicely and runs off of 12v for which I have a 12v deep cycle battery. Not pictured, I also put in an electric tongue jack. That is very handy as it seems that I am constantly hitching and un-hitching especially when Drakman is in town. Doing all of the elctrical was a pain. Splicing and conencting is easy but hiding all of the wires involed pulling down the ceiling and then reinstalling it.

If anyone has questions about doing thsi sort of electrical let me know. I've been down "that path" so maybe I can save you some heartache should you take on a project like this.

The black thing on the ceiling above the clock is the TV, folds down and rotates. Gosh, wonder who taught him to be so smart?

Bugeye -

The point is to get outdoors...however, sometimes you are far enough away that packing it in for a night is not worth it. So, just watch a movie or two and then sleep. Also, when teh weather hits I just can go inside and have soemthing to do while I wait for teh storms to pass.

No Roos' in Oklahoma that I know less the zoo. The jack is the best thing to use for a Drak...goes under the bumper and lifts it high enough. They are fairly cheap and can be used to help someone else out too. Normal floor jacks take up too much space in the trailer also...this works well. You can't see from the pic but I cut off the ring on the e-track thingy and then bent an eye bolt and threaded that through to keep nice and snug. Has a wing nut on it so I don't need any tools to pull it off.

You did...unfortunately if you don't come out to ride you'll never know. I doubt the Mrs lets you watch pay-per-view at home...then again, I could be wrong.

Ha, no wench...I didn't catch that the first time through. The igloo is perfect for a few days. I just throw in a 10lb bag of ice then fill it at the campground. 5 gallons of water is plenty and it is always ice-cold. If I need hot water for washing or whatever I can put a cup in the microwave.

The famed clock finally made it into the trailer. It looks very cool I have to admit, just needs to put in a battery.
