Seen that one $60 after shipping is too much for a choke cable. Gonna go with a universal one for 11$http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=380541228597. Guess I will run a wire from the steering Column to the carb to get a measurement on how long it needs to be. Thanks wyeeoddy |

Talking about trannys and panty hose got my attention! LOL I see you're in Riverside. There are quite a few members in the area, including myself (Rancho Cucamonga). If you ever need some assistance or whatever, let me know. Others like Kuma, Halorising, Westecbuilder, and a few more. Nice project, looks like you are on the correct path. |

That bolt on the shifter assy doesn't go through the nylock nut. Might come off one day. |

Is the cable stay\bracket at the air filter suppose to keep the cables from moving or is it just a guide. The one on the left just moves through it the one on the right looks like he cut and bent in to hold the cable in place. |

Post subject: | Re: BL1TZ's Odyssey |
The bracket just holds the cables in place no clips You need to ADJUST the cables as per previous post |

Post subject: | Re: BL1TZ's Odyssey |
If you DON'T repair or replace that bracket, you'll NEVER achieve proper cable function, even after adjustments. The outer cable sheath has to be held and anchored in that bracket, inorder for the inner wire cable to attain proper function, but all your pics and vid shows it to be badly deformed and broken. Also on the bolt, just remove both the washers,1 under the head,1 under the flanged nut. |

thanks guys, I figured mine looked pretty funked up and not operating as it should. I found another one in the next city over for 9$ so I will drive out tomorrow and grab it. no sense in screwing with this one when there's one for a few bucks down the way. |
