Thanks a lot Hoser. I'll catch up with you soon to square up on the gasket. I'm pretty sure my problem has been with the socket damaging the copper coating while forcing the gasket on. The fit really sucks. For now I slept on the couch all day. Feel like the high school band is playing in my head. Remembering why I don't drink :shock:

don't worry about the gasket, I over-sized the holes for the studs so they wont be tight, I think this is the problem too, install it see what you think, I also heated the gasket up red hot and dropped in water to anneal it so its about as soft as its going to get.

Can if you want but I never use it on copper gaskets in the past.

I installed the gasket today. It's sealed up so far. Running great. Thanks for the gasket Hoser. Should be ready for some longer rides soon.
