Had to take a long break from being able to work on my Odyssey. I got it out the other night and started putting the front end together.
I hope I can post progress and questions I have during the build. I'm going from "points" setup to "CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition)", so I will need advise when the time comes making everything work. Thanks.

The plan has always been to make a new first generation Odyssey with upgraded suspension and non split rims.
It will be upgraded to CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) as well where I don't have to mess with points. Need more extra time to work on it though.

HELP...

I want to adjust my Works Shocks because they are too stiff and would like to do it myself if possible...
They are the "C-Clip" design that rides in a groove, (not threaded). Any pointers or instructions on how
to succefully adjust them withought damaging the springs?

Thanks.

You have to push down on the top collar to expose the snap ring (might be real hard depending on how much preload they have) then use a pick to pick the snap ring out of the grove moving it up. (towards the top eye not down towards the shaft will take preload off and make it softer)

Do I compress the spring and the c-clip is located under the top collar?

Correct, you compress the spring and slide the collar down off the snap ring, sometimes you can do it by hand depending on how much preload you have, I have also used a tiedown strap to compress the spring before.

I appreciate the help man. It could be six-weeks and $ if I sent them back to Works. Would rather just tune myself.
I thought about using some of my 36" zip ties that are super strong for compressing... Will use them or straps.

Use a ratcheting tie down like afastcar mentioned.

I have pulled apart several shocks this way, including my rear works shocks.
