Hey guys! I recently picked up a Kawasaki KFX700. It is a V-twin 700 cc automatic sport quad. My brother-in-law let me borrow one from a friend of his and I fell in love. I found a screaming deal on a super clean 05 locally on Craigslist and scooped her up. Now I really hated the marble plastics that were on it so I decided to change them out and ended up going a little crazy with the transformation. :-)

Let me know what you guys think.

Here is what it looked like when I brought it home:

And here is how she looks now. I am much more happy with it. I still have a few small things to do to it, but I think it is shaping up nicely.

Wow man! I didn't see it before. That plastic was fugly. Lmao, looks like it was stolen off a dirty Chinese quad. I thought it looked really nice but from where It came from you did awesome. Nice job

I like the stealthy low profile look of the original plastic much harder to pic out from a line up

2WD ?

How was the belt brake pads air filter fluids etc. ? Hopefully the former owner serviced it regularly, you have the original tires and rims?

You had a chance to research the known issues with this make model (they all have issues) yet?

Looks like a fun ride enjoy!

I have a big 700 as well. Love it. Make sure you polish the carb slides they tend to stick and make the 700 run like crap its a very common problem. Also keep an eye on the carb slide springs they tend to break.

I couldn't stand the plastics. I hated how blah it was. I wanted it to stand out more.

It is 2WD. The quad was babied. I am the second owner and the original owner was an older gentlemen who didnt ride it too often. He was a stickler with his maintenance, and used quality products (i.e. Amsoil oil, etc.). I have done some research on them, and they do have their quarks but the previous owner pretty much took care of them. It is a very low hour machine. It is still on its original brakes (with plenty of life left) and the tires and wheels you see in the pics are the factory originals. TONS of tread left on them.

It is a blast to ride, and pretty much a handful every time I nail the throttle. :-)

It's working out great! I absolutely love this thing! We just did a weekend trip a few weeks ago up in Baldwin MI. We had a blast! Clocked a little over 100 miles that weekend.

I'd love to make the badlands trip, but I have to work the weekend of the 21st. Hopefully I can make the next trip!
