This is the latest update on my pilot. I would like to thank halorising for picking up the seat for me in Cali, then shoubaduba for picking up the seat from him and my Pilot from me in Las Vegas and doing the work for me. I had a seat installed, skid plate, radiator relocated a heat shield and a hood done. I am very happy with the work and hope to be able to do some riding with everyone soon. I do have more planned for it. I will have some parts for sale soon also. The old seat which is in great shape a 41mm keihin carb and possibly some rear shocks that I swapped out the oil on. I just need to get them recharged.
Enjoy
Bob

Where did you get the heat shield please?
Would you be interested in selling that hood by chance? :-)

Shoubaduba(Rusty) made both of them for me. He also made the bottom skid plate and did the work to relocate the radiator. He is working on a front bumper and nerf bars for me now. Drop him a PM and let him know you are interested. Really cool guy and does excellent work.

Couldn't find a digitron I could afford so I came across this Mychron light. Go-Karts used to use these years ago before they came out with the really fancy versions. It tells you rpm and then you have a choice of EGT, water temp or Cylinder head temp. I have one on a go kart of mine and found this on eBay for 60$. It works really well and the numbers are easier to read than it looks. I am using the cylinder head temp right now as that is what it came with. You cant find this particular model new anymore but they still sell the attachments. It is a lower cost alternative to the digitron.

I lucked out on my radiator setup. I checked out ATVR and thought that was rich. An opportunity came along at a much better price and jumped on it.

Radiator relocate is definately worth it. My fan hardly ever kicks on now, and the carb is so much easier to jet.

Here is a pic of the mount I will be using at the upcoming trip to the dunes. The top piece now will work with any digital camera that has the threaded insert on the bottom. I have an attachment to mount a go pro to this setup. It will work on any size tubing from .75 to 1.50. I also use this on my street bikes( it mounts to the clutch or brake perch bracket) I can mount a camera there or a gps/phone.

Here are some of the latest pictures of the Pilot. Installed HID bulbs in the headlights and the ballasts under the fender wells. Also had Rusty make a front bumper and some nerfs for the Pilot. I picked up the LED light bar and was able to send him a picture of where I wanted it and he made up a mount for me.

Go figure they are on sale.
H6m bulb is the one you will want. I believe 6000k on the brightness but double check with Nickrnr he gave me all the info.

Cool link! This may be a nice place to find brake lights for the 350 guys. So with HID lighting you run your power to a ballast, then from the ballast up to the bulb? Is there more to it than that? Prices seem fair.

It's that simple. You use the blue and green wires from the pilot. The white does not get used. Then just mount the assembly. I mounted mine under the front fenders on the outside of the wheel tub. I can post up pictures if anyone wants to see them.

Nice looking Pilot and mods.

Is there a reason you tow your Pilot backwards?
Reason I ask is,because there is a hell of a lot of ram wind pressure on/under the rear fenders, and everything else that is designed to work in the other direction.
Years ago,my mate busted 2 of his FL250's rear fenders while towing them not forwards posi.

More tongue weight for less wag of the tail, I'm guessing.

afastcar is exactly right. The only trailer I have to haul it. The trailer is made to haul steetbikes and they go on nose first. The Pilot won't fit in the bed of the truck since it is a flare-side bed on the Ford. It tows really well this way and to date I haven't had the trailer try to pass the truck. I am hoping to come across an enclosed some time early next year.
