Hello everybody.... Here is the Fl350 that I purchased about 3 months ago.... I have always dreamed about getting one since I was a kid, my neighbors had an fl250 and fl350 that I loved to watch them for hours, and hoped of one day of having one and being able to finally get in the driver's seat... Finally the day has come..... Here she is ;) She is gonna need alot of work.....

When I finally got her home, I started to look her over and see how much work she actually needs...... When I started it up I found out that the clutch had a severe vibration and was wobbling something terrible.... I took off the clutch and found that the crankshaft had severe run-out.... I also did a compression test and it was at 95 lbs.... |

You'll like the way it performs with the carb, pipe and clutch setup. I'm running a different pipe but the rest of the setup is almost the same. Mine will shit and git even with my fat ass in it! After you get it broke in, take that bad boy out to El Mirage and open her up.....for a mile or two! Rand |

You really should put a stock airbox on and do a duel inlet prefilter mod, at the very least replace the K&N filter with a foam filter, you don't want to ruin your new Engine. |

Post subject: | Re: Toby's FL350 |
you can get a foam cover to go over that filter then a prefilter to go over them both, check K&N's website. |

Hello guys, hope everyone had a good weekend.... I got alot done this weekend.... I finished installing a liquid cooled head and a duel prefilter mod.... I am really happy with the results and it looks really clean... I took it out for a little ride and she runs really really well...... The next upgrades that I want to make are, get a 102c comet clutch cover, works shocks, and replace to front bushings..... Thank you Toby

Looks good Toby. With your overflow bottle set higher than your radiator, you will need to pinch off the overflow bottle supply to your radiator or it will overflow your radiator the moment you take off the radiator cap. On second thought after looking at it again, it might not drain out after all so never mind! Gee, I wonder how I know that one? LOL Rand |

G'Day Toby, when I had my 350's with the LCooled heads,I used to carry a length of 1/4" tube used to mouth-blow out the debris in the spark plug head recess. This way it limited any crap dropping down inside the head when doing plug chops. So I would'nt forget the tube,I used to keep it intertwined at the base of the head netting, was always available that way,and never fell off. |
