cooter wrote: How much you asking for the other carb Well I decided I am actually gonna keep this PE carb around for awhile just to make sure the 35mm will cut the mustard for me. I want to take it out and give it the old seat 'o the pants dyno along with a few plug checks before I am willing to part with the 36mm PE. FYI I did see the same PE on fleabay going for 91 bucks though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CR250-HONDA-1984-CR-250-84-KEIHIN-PE-36MM-CARBURETOR-/370981095508?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5660324854&vxp=mtr |

Well my DG pipe for my FL350R showed up today and the inner pipe on the flange is bent. Anybody else have theirs show up like that?

Went for a test ride with the new DG exhaust, Boyesen Power Reeds, and Keihin 35mm PWK carb. Man what a difference that made in throttle response and overall power. I will definitely need to figure out a way to tame down the DG, it is loud and obnoxious as all hell. Just sitting at idle I feel like there is somebody shooting a semi automatic 22 long rifle over my shoulder.

Wanted to run it first and see exhaust how loud exactly the DG was before I ran it. Definitely gonna need something else quieter soon along with the spark arrestor for summertime. |

Don't get popped any time of year without a spark arestor in Commiefornia. I don't know about Northern Commiefornia but in So. Cal. they would post Ranger Rick at the entrance to ATV riding areas and they would send you packing without a spark arrestor. If they caught you riding without one it way a nice stiff ticket in the 700 to 800 dollar range. Rand |

They don't really check you much around here as long as you have a green sticker showing but this thing grabs a lot of attention and I don't want to go lighting the woods on fire anyhow! |

So, I browsed 21 pages and didn't see What app is that you are running for speed, angle, etc.? Is it on an iPod or iPhone? I'm not sure if the iPod has GPS, etc. for telemetry Great build...it motivates me to walk by my FL350 and give it the bird :) |

It is the app by Ulysse called Speedometer which conveniently does not display ads if you are using an old cell phone with no SIM and no WIFI signal |

The phone I used for the display is an HTC Inspire I got for free back when I had AT&T. I have some heavy duty velcro on the back of the case so I can take it off in the heavy rain. |

With the screen on full bright and my anti glare goggles I can see it during the day but have honestly only tested it once so far and it was slightly overcast that day. The HTC Inspire I am using actually has a fairly bright screen on it and I can run it in full brightness mode since it is hard wired into the 12 volt via the dash outlet for power. It has a SLCD display versus the newer AMOLED but I had it just laying around collecting dust so I figured why not use it?? I considered building a little hood / lip for it to keep water off during rides and help with the glare too. |

About the only complaint I really have so far with using the HTC Inspire 4.7" android touchscreen as a speedo display is that the thing takes a good solid 5-10 minutes to boot up and then another 5-10 to link up with enough satellites to make it worth using. This might be because most of my tests were in the garage where GPS signal is not as strong. |

I got to try out my new 3" safety harness for the first time Sunday night also. Holy mackerel what a difference having that and the new padding around the knees makes when you are really ripping through the tough stuff. I still need to install the crotch belt but damn does it ever make the ride nicer (and safer).
