hey guys been roaming the site for a few weeks now and tons of good ideas here. i picked up a honda odyssey challenger buggy for 125.00$ the guy didnt know what it was and i didnt either till i started researching, anyways il do a little build page so i can get your guys input, suggestions, and ill even take the why the f#$k would you ever do this to a factory challenger. so here we go. this is what it looked like when i picked it up, had a sachs 290cc snowmobile motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in it. im fabbing in a brand new never ran chaparral fuji 440cc from 1978 to go in its place, il be stretching the frame 10" to allow room for the exhaust and seat. so if anybody has interest on the factory fl250 j-arms, front shocks, motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) mount and skid plate, 290cc snowmobile motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )), let me know, i also have front and rear hubs, front are fl250, rears are fl350 4/130, i went to 4/110 honda 400ex hubs.

Looks good, but I don't think I would tie the front bumper into the shock towers.

im in phoenix az. (avondale to be exact) lol. i figured if i hit something hard enough to bend the 1" .120 wall tube il have more to worry about than the shock tower being damaged. plus if i damage it that just means more time out in the garage to work on it and drink beer, so it would be a win win in my book.

i used to go to the dunes damn near every weekend till i broke my back riding my dirtbike, now i spend most of my riding in the desert around here, or in the mountains at my cabin, i may try to run it at glamis but id rather go to the cinders up north here, im building the buggy to be kind of universal, with the ground clearance for the desert and the travel for the fast stuff. does anybody know if there is a maximum length i should run for the cvt belt once the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is mounted? i just don't want a ton of deflection and i obviously cannot mount the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) where the old one was. and does someone make custom sized belts or should i find a belt that is made for something else and accomadate to that length? the 440 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) going in has a comet 102, and the driven clutch is the fl250 tranny. im also going to need help on figuring out the steering so i don't have too much bumpsteer.

you can get just about any size snowmobile belt I would order a belt then mount the Engine that's the best way to do it.
