Lol! Maybe in his sleep. He also never heard of masking tape!
All I can think of is Frank Rizzo. "I worked on race cars!" (Warning vulgar language)

I can't help with the measurement. Maybe someone with a bare frame laying around could. A couple other options. Could buy another frame(can be had dirt cheap if you can find one close) or could buy that section from someone with a damaged frame. Maybe someone doing the street bike Engine swap also. Depends on your fab skills. I have none so I'd start with another frame or buy the section with all the mounts and pay someone to weld it on. Gonna need to be as strong as stock or better with the rotax swap.

I would like to buy that section of frame, i do have some fab skills, but i cant turn crap into gold, i think it might not be salvagable. Does any one on here have that section of frame? It would be nice to have that whole section.

Might be easier to just buy a used fl350 frame.

I bet he does! Depends on who's got it and the condition. Usually $100-300. I payed $300 for mine and its super clean. Had all the decals, hard brake lines, head net, all in great condition. Send him a PM if you know how. Best way to contact him.

I am doing a motorcycle Engine swap and I will be ditching the rear end of the frame and cutting that section out completely. It is a little modified at the bottom and I cut out a piece of tubing but can easily be replaced.

There ya go! Would be a lot cheaper to ship than a whole frame. Just hate to see you go through the work of recreating it and be a little bit off. Would mess up your belt length and cause headaches. I'd try to work something out to get the whole section to weld in. Or grab a frame from mud if he had it. Both good options. :-) ::-:

I have a good rear section from a junk frame that I have been saving it just for this reason. The bad thing is I live on the other side of the world from you & I'm sure the shipping would be way more than the frame worth.

Here is a pic of my side x side frame with the trans installed..

I know I cut that monstrosity off the frame today, its really hard to see how everything is supposed to line up with the limited amount of pieces i have. a complete rear section is what i need, the rest of the frame is mint, im glad the previous owner didn't have any more brain storms!

75 bucks plus shipping and it yours if you want it. I think I have all the hardware for mounting the tranny too and the brake line guard and battery tray that I'll through in.

It looks like im going to have to remove a section of frame (on the right side for the recoil start) and relocate it for the Engine to fit. It is an 81 suzuki spirit l/c 500cc any suggestions? did any one else have to modify the frame for a sled Engine to fit?
