I was wondering how these things are without fenders on them? Does it beat you up with dirt and rocks?

How did you powbercoat the front drums with the seal still installed and the rubber covers on the hymes on tof of the trailing arms. Also with the heating process did it ruin your ball studs on your j-arms?

I had a brain fart with j-arms. They was a little loose when I got them back but when I packed the grease back in them they are tight again. I have a spare set if there screwed. The brake drum seals are still fine.

Epoxy p-coating is usually done around 400-425'F, and NBR generally has temp resistance up to say 275'F. You'll want to check out all your seals & boots, man.

Seals might be prone to embrittlement since they got hot/dry, heated past their spec temp range, and then sealed with p-coat. Paint might be prone to cracking/etc since it won't get a good bond to the rubber parts, plus there was probably some grime/grease here in there in the nooks/crannies of the seals, bearings, etc. And if/when any of the pieces have to be disassembled, you'll break the paint seal.

Ugh...I just wouldn't have done it that way.

I have new bearings and seals I'm installing anyway so I'm not worried about the rubber seals. I only regret doing the j-arms. Even though they look good I wish I would've just painted all the arms instead. Owe well live and learn.

Thanks for the the smart ass reply.....if you need to know I didn't replace the bumper yet because Its a bolt on part and I spent my money on other things to get the buggy all together. This thing was a mess and I think it looks a lot better than it did when I got it. ''even with my bent up bumper''
