Got this idea from some joker who wants $180 for his mount. Yeah, I made this for under $10. Will see if it works. I think it might need more drag than what the feathers on the arrow are going to provide, but will see. Will have cardboard and duck tape just in case. Yours has no stickers is not billet and don't come whit a fancy box and packing. Great idea I like, let us know how it works fact is go run around the neighbor hood as a preview lol If it works out sell them for 40 bux on evilbay lol |

i just hope it works lol. I notice the pivot points are different. I sort of am anticipating having to make more air drag on the back of the arrow. |

that's pretty cool.There was another member on here who had built a helicopter mount on top of his ody,cant remember who it was.He posted some video using it just sitting in his driveway,he never did post video of using it going down the trails. The one problem I see with yours is that crossbar getting in the way and blocking the shots when it turns that direction,can you mount it on top? |

The front downtube on the cage won't block much. It will shoot video through the tubes when it faces to the right. I always try to get some part of the buggy in the foreground in the shot, gives you more perspective on what is going on. I will take some sample shots this weekend and move mount if need be. |

LOL This was an arrow I broke the front off of by missing my target and hitting a rock. Hit so hard the knock popped out of the back of the arrow as well. |

Pretty cool, this is from the ebay ad...sounds a little more complex than yours. "HOW DOES IT WORK? As the vehicle moves forward in a straight line the camera mount points the camera view forward. As the vehicle turns, a slide-weight assembly is affected by centrifugal force and causes the camera mount to swing, pointing the camera view into the direction of the turn, just as a driver would look into the direction of a turn. This creates an added dynamic to the video not captured by traditional static mounts." How does it work out the back? |

I am hoping the change in air resistance will make it turn as the vehicle turns. I think it will work better while turning left than turning right with it mounted in this spot. I think the radiator might block the air/wind resistance while turning right, but am still going to try this spot first. I wanted to mount it to the front bumper, but the tubing diameter was too small. If I had the bicycle mount it would be fine I think. Kuma, like the "sales pitch" said (LOL) the camera will face towards where you want to go, not just where the buggy is facing. So when I follow someone, the camera should be able to keep them in view easier. |

I am going to make the mount stronger and try again. Trial and error lol. However, the mount DID turn with the changing direction of the car like I was hoping for. |

You need some bearings in there to make a solid but swing-able mount. Any old rollerblades laying around? |

It wasn't the hinge that was vibrating, it was the GoPro plastic flexing. I am going to make a metal base for it when I have time. |
