hey guys. I finally got my first ody (new years eve). its a 85 fl350. I bought it from a guy in Wisconsin. the CL ad barely said anything. it just said it needed a drive clutch. after a little haggling I got him down to 1100 delivered. it needed a little more work than I thought but its not too bad. it has a cracked up foot tub, didn't run, needed a shifter nob and has miss matched front tires. I was up all night getting her running. and I figured it needed a fuel pump so I bought one. the whole time, just the lines were messed up and in the wrong places. but once I aired up the tires, hooked up a dirt bike gas tank, and installed the new clutch. it ran and drove fine. it still needs brake work and a shifter but its a great start to a project. I recently got boxes of extra parts for cheap too. now I also need a T for the fuel lines. but I just ordered one. I also just got a new MOOSE air filter, manual, and a solenoid. ill attach some pics....
if any of u Midwest guys have a shifter or foot tub let me know! and I may sell some of my extra parts

Andrew

Cool, I saw that one up for sale when I was looking for mine but decided to spend some more for something that rode and drove so I knew at least it all worked.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Let me know if you know of some riding areas, want to put some time on mine this summer.

Badlands like the Dakota's or somewheres else?

I would sandblast the head, unpainted aluminum will disipate heat better than painted.

Wooden wheel in that one pict!?!?!

The badlands refers to the badlands off road park in Attica Indiana.

I believe the wooden wheels were to make it narrower for transportation.

Those rear rims are obviously wrong!...Not only are they arse about, against the grain, but from Pinus Radiata.
They should be made from the Rubber tree no?Image

Is there a recipe for this "Pinus Radiata" you speak of?
