hey everyone...im new...jus got this thing...So I traded my 80 motorcycle(needed lot of work to be road ready) for this 80s fl250 odyssey. It came modded wit a old Kawasaki 440 intruder motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))(doesn't run..hard to get parts) and I just so happen to have a Arctic cat(Suzuki) zr600 l/c motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). yesterday I pulled both motors and now on to cleaning everything and mocking up the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))....I plan to go threw the entire chassis. but here are my questions if anyone can help...

ps yea I kno I should get a fl350 with rear suspension yayayaya....I kno but I do plan to mod sumtin late this winter rear suspension wise on this 250...

Questions:
what hubs fit the axel to swap three lug to four?
does any one have pix of there fl250 sled motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) swap?
any one ever inclose there frame a little? like a windshield out of plexi glass and maybe sheet metal around the tub?(I ride on sandy, mud, wet trails for long periods of time so kind of don't wanna be wet 24/7 lol)
what are my options for lights? I was thinking fog lights on bottom part of roll cage...some kc off road lights for on top and l.e.d. brake/tail lights???

thanks for the help!!!!....you guys have helped me aton already(hince why I joined)

Welcome to the site.
All knowledgeable people here. Post some pictures.
I can't help you with the axel issue because I don't know a lot about the fl250,
but I did see somewhere here a picture and thread about a fl250 with a rear swing arm
for suspension. Good luck with the project. Post pics.

[quote="PsychoOdy600"]Also can you give me a idea what year this thing maybe???

Does it have CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) ignition ??
If it does then it is probably between 1981 and 1984.
If not then between 1977 and 1980.
I think. Don't quote me on it though.

Whats your goal for this project, you already exceeded most the original design of the FL250 by installing the 440cc Engine, exceeding the braking and most all the safety factors Honda built into the FL250 design, if its a air cooled 440 you already more than doubled the stock HP, if it was a smart install and setup and tuned properly the fun factor should be really high and it should be scary fast, the 600cc swap will make it deadly.

well honestly my plan was to just build something badass to spend time with my dad. I grew up racing quads and sleds and recently faded from it due to priority changes....I didn't want a quad again...three wheeler...eh, utv way to much $ I feel and Im a freak wen it comes to things...always gotta change n add my touch...no matter what it is...from the sink faucet to my bike so I found a crazy deal on this ody and as rare as they are around here....ive already have ppl not know what it even is (while it says HONDA right on the damn thing lol) the 440 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is trash...hard to find parts and not really worth the money for it ive been told....if this thing does turn out to be a death wish well then I strictly keep it for events and race the piss out her. but its coming together now slow but sure. motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is in just making mounts for everything.

got my rear fenders mocked up jus with a old set of black 450r fender(picking up all red ones to match tub tonight)
