Hey everyone, I finally found a FL350 odyssey and along with it he had 2 FL250. The guy I bought them from got them for payment of a job he did for a guy that lived in Florida but his cabin was in Hibbing MN which was where I went to get them. The guy I bought them from only had them a year but the previous owner had them since early 90's. All the title papers were taped to the back of the license number plates.

I ended up getting the FL350, 80' yellow FL250, and a 83' FL250 with electric start all for $3,400. The other 81' FL250 I picked up last summer. I for sure will be selling the yellow FL250 and possibly will be selling the 81' FL250. All of them ran great, although the FL350's motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) lost compression after i brought them home, so a rebuild is in order. Compression was 132psi when i went to pick them up and after a little riding I continued to check it and it was down to 126psi then took it out again and that was it. It's too bad i guess but at least the rest of it is in really great shape! other than a missing correct front bumper, foot pad, and snorkel tube...I got the stock air box along with it.

The 83' big red was my grandpas, he bought it brand new and she still looks like it rolled off the showroom floor!

Now since I finally got my FL350, I thought i'd start a thread of the progress on it and the FL250's. I just want to say thanks again to the people that have been so helpful on the forum, it makes owning them a lot more enjoyable knowing you have someone knowledgeable to help!!

Nice score and nice collection! I also acquired my first FL350 along with a really nice FL250. Paid $1200. Sold the FL250 for $850, hence the basket case of a FL350 only cost me $350. You gotta' love the bundle deal!! :-)

Little town of Gibbon Minnesota out on the farm, I'm actually the 5th generation farming on the same farmsite. Lots of gravel roads, we have a big grove and a 6ft grass buffer strip along all the drainage ditches to drive on.

I forgot to mention, but the FL350 had a 102 comet clutch on it too! I am also going to have to get some pictures of the shocks, they look stock but don't have the coils running all the way to the top of the shock like most stock odysseys. There's just the "landings" for the adjustment settings for the shock.

What is the stock ID and OD of the pulse line? and what is the size of the fuel line? 3/16" pulse line and 1/4" fuel line? Also does anyone have a recommendation of what kind of pulse line to get as in pressure rating or vacuum rating? I picked some up but says it has a pressure rating of 50 psi and second guessing if it is going to be good enough.

thanks,

Got all them out today other than one other 350.

One thing i'm wondering is on the one FL350 is it starts up, idles, and revs up good in neutral but when trying to drive it, it cannot pick up much speed, probably can go 10mph otherwise if i tried anymore it would be just be over revving. When i bought it, it had a 135 main jet and the clip on the needle was one up from the middle. I switched the main jet back to a 142 and i moved the needle back to the middle clip.

I don't know if its just running really rich or if its the clutches, but i would think its the clutches because it revs up good when in neutral. compression is at 140psi. Has a 102 comet clutch

If its over revving, then it sounds like the belt is slipping.

Ok, i'll try a new belt and see if that helps. I revved it up in neutral a little to watch the primary clutch to see if its moving like it should. It does seem to suck in the first bit abruptly and then moves smooth.

If it would be clutching issues, it would be the primary clutch and not the secondary?

Probably the primary.

Take note that the clutches act completely different when under a load versus being revved up in neutral or with the rear of the Ody sitting on a jack stands.

Got a Go-Pro? Take some shots of the clutches while it's under load being driven.

Yes I do have a go pro, just don't have a tube/bar clamp, i'll figure out a way to mount it and try it this weekend. I didn't bother to try to drive it much as it was, figured i'd end up breaking something
