So, I sold the GTO a while back. It mostly sat around and I didn't drive it much, so decided to let her go to someone who would actually drive it. I then used that money to pick up this 1991 K5 Blazer. Has a TBI 350 and a 4L60 trans, which is just a re-named 700R4, and both diff's have been rebuilt with 4.11:1 gears. Odometer has 283K on it, Engine and trans were recently rebuild (previous owner had paperwork to prove it) I wish he wouldn't have had a shift kit installed in the trans, I'm not a big fan of it. Engine was rebuilt within stock specs. My plans down the line are to rebuild it again with aluminum heads, going to keep it TBI (as of right now anyway), I'd like to see around 300 horse and 350 torque. It had a 6'' lift and 35'' tires when I got it, and it rode horrible! Well, I found out why. All the front shocks (dual shocks) were blown, the rear shocks were missing bushings, and the shock mounts were loose! Also, the guy destroyed the door panels and hacked huge holes into them to mount speakers in the doors. I removed that crap, made a diamond plate filler, and installed some factory map bags that were missing as well. I relocated the speakers under the front seats and am really happy with the results.As I dug deeper into the Blazer, I found quite a few things wrong with it that the previous owner never told me about such as a cracked passenger side exhaust manifold, the radiator had a slow leak that I couldn't see, the trip odometer doesn't work, and a few nit-picky things here and there. I have a good list of things I want to get done to it. Currently It has a 2'' Rough Country lift and rides much smoother than the 6'' lift did, and I put on some Jegs 8 hole black wheels and some 33'' tires. I like it much better now. File comment: This is how it currently looks. I built the spare tire carrier, but am not really happy with it. Going to change it up in the future, for now the spare is on the roof. And no, Westecbuilder it not going pee!

File comment: You can see the top in this pic is green. I picked it up for $50 and cut a giant hole in it. I use the Blazer for coyote hunting, and you can legally spot light from your vehicle at night. I also install a marine deep cell battery under the hood and have wires running back with a plug to power my spot light. Pretty trick.

The door panels have been recently fixed, and I got a set of camo seat covers and floor mats for my birthday. I will take a few pics and upload them in a while. Will also show you more detailed pics too. Here is a current list of what I want to do to it...
1) Fix A/C, compressor has a broken prong and I'm sure the system leaks
2) Fix Frame, broken behind steering box. Very common problem with K5's
3) Power steering has a small leak
4) I want to add a 7 way trailer harness and a brake controller
5) Get cruise control working (I have a new turn signal lever with CC controls)
6) Front drive shaft needs a new boot
7) New ignition, you can remove the key without turning it back! And can turn it forward and start it without the key!
8) Passenger side window regulatormotor is sluggish
9) Install a Tachometer
10) Replace the grill (current one is cracked in quite a few places)
11) Adjust the driver side window track (it like to pop off the track as you roll the window up)
12) Repair or replace the trip odometer/speedometer
13) Remove the shift kit, service trans, tail shaft has a small leak
14) Power mirrors are not working, possibly a frayed wire. All fuses are good and mirrors worked when I bought it
15) Oil pan gasket leaks
16) Replace distributor (preventative maintenance)
17) Replace EGR valve (preventative maintenance)
18) Replace TBI unit with a fully rebuilt one with matched injectors (ebay seller has them for $175)

Thanks. Yeah, that was one reason I bought it. Zero rust and body is damn near perfect. Engine runs really well. TBI's are famous for surging at idle and hesitating, but this one runs great.
