Yeah, I am very happy with the purchase. Does anyone know which bushings I need for inside the Farr mount plate? Stock Engine Bushings? If so, anyone know a part number? I bought my frame as a roller and I don't know what these should be as they were MIA. Thanks! |

I like your style... Exhaust, Engine mount cable etc.... Laid out right in front of the fireplace. Great kit, awesome power, inexpensive (relatively), incredible reliability and you'll be able to find seals, pistons, bearings... and the list goes on....

With more power and torque comes more stress on the 30+ yr-old steel frame. Good Engine mounts and even some gusset-work on the frame is certainly a good idea on a Rotax swap. |

Made some progress this morning. Got the gearbox case cleaned up and installed. Does anyone know the thread pitch and size of the bolts that hold the dog bones to the gearbox? |

If your talking about the two stays that go beetwen the transmission and the Engine They are a metric thread at 8mm with a 1.25 mm pitch Sorry cant get you the length but shouldn't be to hard to work out Cheers |

That is not a stock tab on your frame. You are missing a stock tab close to that location though. It would have been located about an 1 1/4 inches to the left of the tab shown in your picture. The side air scoop would have mounted there. |

Thanks for the help D$! I wish this kit would have came with a little more information on where stuff goes, as I have not had experience with anything Rotax before. Any progress on this? I can see from your previous post that you are uncertain how some of the parts provided are used for install. Have you gotten any support from Farr-Offroad / Emmanuel? I really want to purchase one of these kits myself but am also not familiar with the Rotax Engine & without install instructions I feel that I would be a bit lost also. Emmanuel is a member on this site also I believe. Please keep us updated on progress / install. I feel this thread could be of help to many. |

Any updates? I purchased his kit also about three weeks ago and have gotten two boxes of parts and waiting on a third box. It looks well built, but I have not started the install yet due to waiting on parts. I will start a build tread of my own once all the parts arrive. |

I will have to put together an installation guide for these kits The oil injection pump is removed on all the engines I sell. The oil tank on the fuel cell is for the rotary valve shaft lubrication, the two fittings on the tank connect to the two large fittings above and below the intake. Do not run the Engine without filling with oil, the brass gear will strip within 10 minutes The two small brass fittings on the intake are where the oil injection lines originally connect, a small line need to be installed to connect the two together On the carbs the large fitting is the fuel in, the fittings on the side are the overflow lines, the small fitting in the front is the primer fitting |

Not to bring a thread back from the dead, but life happened the last 3-4 years and this was put on the back burner. It was rolled into the back of the shed and has sat for awhile. I listed the project for sale a few weeks ago, have someone interested, but am unsure if I can part ways with it... Lots of going back and forth the last few evenings... I was able to get it titled and registered as a UTV with the state of WI, so that's a plus! I wish I would have purchased Emmanuel's Disc Brake conversion, TRX suspension conversion, and long travel rear suspension when he was in business. I'd love to get my hands on those parts now. :( Does anyone have access to the plans for those parts? Anyone have contact with him and the ability to talk him into making another set? Even if it had a price premium, it would be worth it to me. I sent him an email a few weeks back, but no reply. What to do... |

I can tell you that you are SOL on getting any front/rear LT from Farr, or anyone else for that matter. Its possible you might get lucky but doubtful. I'm currently building my FL350r Rotax 617 to have a Farr front LT kit. I was very lucky to find a complete un-used LT front kit, but that doesn't change the worst thing about a 350 - the rear is still a tight-wad and the tranny is still a time bomb. I think there will be twin Rotax full LT FL350s for sale shortly though. I'm sure they won't go cheap. Keep a look out. |
