I have the old style nerf bars on one of my odysseys and it is a pain to get in and out of..also doesnt come out flush with rear tire and doesnt come up far enough to the front tire and stays flush with front tire. I have a friend that is in a wheelchair that likes to ride my odyssey and its tough for him to get in....so i designed a set that comes out flus with rear tire and flush with front...connected with grade 8 hardware. Doesnt bend and i have it set up to use the rear of the upper nerf bar to use as a handle support to just jump right in...making a jig tomorrow to finish other side.

Its easier to get in for sure...i attached the 2 bars in the back with welded in grade 8 bolts and the front one is a clamp style...flat stock bunt into a u then a grade 8 bolt through the drilled out c clamp..was going to do a webbing to make it look more atvish but want to keep it as cheap as possible if anybody wants one if i decide to sell em |

Nerfs look great. ATVs need the webbing for possible foot slip (I know, I'm master of the obvious, but they hold a ton of mud. I think you made he right choice keeping yours without. How much do they weigh? |
