If you have to leave the Engine.

Move the tank as far over as you can, almost touching the frame. Move the brackets if you have to.(tack-tack-tack)

I got another fl350 today. It was partially assembled but also included a lot of spare parts. Almost enough to put another one together but only 1 frame. The good news is that I now have a stock Engine with good compression with duster clutch and another spare stock Engine that is seized w/oem clutch. Unfortunately there are a few parts that were not included. The exhaust tune pipe, the carburetor, battery, and starter. I'm going to work on it tomorrow, go through everything, and will take some photos.

Well this is the FL350. I removed the Engine and some other parts already. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet. I still need the exhaust tune pipe, carb, starter, and battery. Everything else was included x2 in most cases. One of the seats is in exceptional condition.

The spare Engine was outside for awhile with the cylinder/head off. There were pine needles inside. I got as much out as i could and sprayed some wd40 in there. Awhile ago I bought a clutch puller thinking it was the one for the driven clutch so decided to try breaking the SPARE Engine down a bit. In the process of getting the clutch off the crank actually broke free. Much more pine needles etc. came out. I filled the case with wd40 and let it sit over night. Today I opened this up. LOL :-)

I think it needs a rebuild.

Yes, a rebuild will be needed from bottom up. I have rebuilt dirt bike engines in the past but this will be my first FL350 Engine and I am looking forward to it. My main goal right now is to get the items that I'll need to complete 1 buggy. The tune pipe, carburetor, starter, and battery. The battery I can get but any thoughts on the other 3 items?

Should I stay with the stock tune pipe (I have the muffler) or is it worth the money for the DG exhaust?

I feel that a new carburetor will be money well spent rather than taking chances on a used OEM. What are some good upgrade options or what have others have had success with?

Lastly, are the ebay starters any good, if not what are my options?

My goal is to complete one buggy 100% by the spring. I have to be realistic about it because I have been swamped at work lately and have a few projects to get done around the house. I don't believe that I am going to use the original frame that I started the project with. The frame had already been modified in the back to accept the poorly place polaris Engine. I am going to use a unmodified frame so everything can go where it should.
