hello and thanks for letting me in your group !! here we go. ive been trying to join your forum for a month now and finally got in. my laptop was all jazzed up but I fixed her up !! ok so I traded my 400ex last year for a 1985 fl350 odyssey that the guy said needed a stator but it was just a bad ground and melted a wire from stator took me about an hour to fix and she started right up !!! took it for a lil ride and feel in love with the oddy !!! after a short ride took her home pressure washed her and ripped her apart . fixed all bad bearings and bushings (bought or made on the lathe)and rebuilt the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) top to bottom (new bore exhaust bridge relived piston drilled) did leak down test after rebuild and found intake was cracked and could not find one anywhere so made one on the milling machine with some dremel work . put her together and she ran pretty good but had a hard time keeping the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) cool (I'm a big boy and blocked air flow to the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))) so after looking on here liquid cooled motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) swap it was !!! got a 1991 Yamaha exciter 2 570cc snowmobile and the front end of a 400ex and my brother and I went to work about a month ago and here is where we are so far !!!

Hello beastbuilder, thanks for the build info. I think that the long uniform slender exhaust pipe right after the y pipe might make that pipe/Engine into a high rev. power delivery machine. I don't know how that Engine's power delivery looks rpm wise so you may be fine and I know we all do what we have to in order to make said pipe fit. Just an observation and I wish you great success in your build.
You just might have to tune your primary clutch to accommodate the Rs needed for the buggy to perform ....
Regards.
