Hmmmm.....

I want to say it would be a 80.50mm but I'm here at work and the bottom end isn't here with me LOL so I can't just look. I though I remember the piston in the cylinder being 80.00.

Let me measure the piston tonight and I'll get back to you.

It's a good thing I double checked!

I went out to the garage and scrapped the top of the piston that is still connected to the rod. The part number is Wiseco Part number 533M08050 which is an 80.5mm. You will need to purchase an 81.00mm piston which is Wiseco part number 533M08100.

Well I have bad news for me... The cylinder and piston and anything else I had were stolen. Sort of.... I put the parts on top of the sand bags at my home and the city cam and remove the sand bags.. they did not even notice the stuff on the pallet of bags. They said they will replace the parts but Im not convinced yet. I had to find them on line E bay. I can get you the trade any time you like.

Mike,

I checked my cylinder stash and I have a cylinder that came out of Kolby's Ody and it is currently bored at a sloppy 80.5mm so you will need an 81mm piston. Of course you will need to have the cylinder bored to 81mm like your other cylinder as I mentioned before.

Let me know when you want to come by and pick it up.

ok. The city bought a cylinder 80.5 and new piston, new intake, new used reed cage and exhaust flange. I will use that stuff because they got the piston too.

Wow is right, Congrats on getting this to happen. Shame there wasn't a few other hard to find items sitting on that pallet! :-)

I got all the parts in. I need to send out for work. I may go check with the local guy here tomorrow and see if he can do it. What was the limit of gap? .004 max? was that in the center or top when you take measurements? Frame is sanded down. Will be working on the tabs to mount some expanded metal on the bottom. Rand, how was the trip?

I believe the specifications for the Wiseco piston is .0045" max. This will be measured on the bottom of the piston. 2 stroke pistons are actually tapered and are narrower on the top than they are at the bottom.

If you are asking about riding with Kolby, we didn't get to go, we wound up having to pull his Ody apart to replace his starter.

Still here.

I haven't touched your bottom end other than cleaning it. Let me know when you're going to bring it by and I'll start tearing into it.

I can't make this stuff up. The shop that has had my parts for 6 weeks not just told me they were stolen, likely right after UPS left the boxes on the front door of the shop. So I'm in need of new parts again. Rand, I may send him to you. I did find a new cylinder and piston stock. was pulled from the oddy right away and then replace with a water cooled system for someone who was racing them. I will find out more soon.

Unbelievable.
You would think that with all the thefts of packages after the UPS guy delivers, that businesses would have a strong box outside the door for the UPS guy to put the package. He could then lock it with your lock after the package is put inside. It would be a concrete box, steel lid, hard to get at lock. It would be clearly marked for the UPS guy.
In the big city here they actually showed on the nightly news a goof following the UPS truck and then taking packages after the driver left. It was on video. Yup guy -- know to police. If I ever get selected for jury duty and a homeowner has pummeled a crack head, the verdict will be not guilty no matter what the evidence says.
Yesterday an under cover police van hit a hole in the road and smashed into a business, and then it caught on fire. Someone had stole a manhole cover. Probably sold it for scrap so he could buy drugs.
