Thought I'd start a thread.
I'm currently about what I believe to be 90% finished, at least where it is ready to ride, after putting in a new crank, honing the pistons I had it running over the weekend, now I've convinced myself to swap out carbs, I have 38 sbn watercraft carbs on now, man will be a giant pain in behind changing jets to dial this in, almost impossible to pull the carb off to get to the jets without pulling the RV plate off first. I have some 40BN carbs that are setup with the throttle shafts in line which puts the pump on the Engine side and the jet access plate to the back.
I have to make some custom velocity stacks so I can attach the air filters and the other thing is the pulse for the fuel pump is facing the wrong direction, I pulled out one of the 90 degree fuel line tubes from a junk carb and will be modifying one of my pump covers so the tube will be facing the Mag side.

Here's one of the velocity stacks I'm making to fit the 40mm carb, the only ones I find to buy would not seal on the air filter boot, more to come, got to get to work

LT front end almost done, I've got to do the bump steer on it still, pictures to come.

What are others using for spring rate on the front, I am using some nice Olins shocks from a Cannondale Moto quad and it is sitting too high for my liking, I think I need to get lighter springs or maybe just the helper springs the shock has about 6 " of travel and as it sits it is only using about 1 inch, I'd like it to sit so the front end is about 50%

Well, took it out to Glamis, did some jetting and didn't have to tow it so that's a good a good thing.
On the jetting, I've got a 2.0 needle/seat with the shiny silver spring, 75 pilot jet and 160 main with some opening on the low and high speed adjuster screws.
Front end is working pretty good, I put some ohlins shocks off my old quad, they seem to work, had to reduce the main springs to some 100/110# springs, still sits higher than I'd like
