If you can't find one then you will have to do it the northern skillbilly way.

Any new member here who is reading this should follow this one.
If you think an FL350 is expensive and has hard to find parts, just wait until you buy a Triple E machine or similar. By the way you can't get the rear brake disk on an FL350 either. So that's just a heads up for any new members. I have done a lot of research on the Oddy rear disk and there is nothing so you will be making your own, which is probably what this guy will end up doing. It's not that hard in my opinion if you have tools.

You could go this route. I sourced parts for the calipers but the lower rotor has been machines as well as the cv to fit. The upper rotor again no idea what it’s off of. You get that car from a guy up North of Sacramento?

CO is correct about parts availability. My trans doesn’t have that cover over the cv cup on the trans output shaft. To make 2 of those and machine both cases I’m looking at 800+$ depending on the shop I take it to. W/o those they leak terrible. Here is what it looks like disassembled

Thanks for the pics! The one with the disc isn't my car...I'm trying to find one that will work for mine. How did you guys convert from the u-joints to the cv's? I have two triple eee's - one with the beefed up aluminum tranny, and one with the cast aluminum.

I'm moving the beefed up tranny to my two seater and putting in an Arctic Cat 600 EFI Engine...What are you guys running?

The cars I have only have cv’s. One uses this setup for the outboard joints. For the rotor look at the vw stuff. Match the diameter and thickness then have the center machines. I have seen at least 4 different ways people set them up. Here’s mine on the inside. I have also seen pics of Honda gold wing rotors and calipers modified to fit. One car has a modified fl400 the other had a Polaris 2 stroke twin 500. I have a 583 that will end up in one and I’ve got a lead on a fl bottom end with a 500 top end

I have the same issues with the Gen 2 Briggs car I have. Dan at RPM rebuilt my trans and it’s been rock solid receiving 130+hp. Had to fab a break setup for the output shaft, which I ended up just mounting to the CV cup. Are you looking to stop the machine or just the secondary clutch with that clutch? It looks like that’ll be primary/only rear brake.

Like this.
Machined a small lip into the back and recessed/chamfered the holes to accept the hardware.

Go Oddy mine is similar but on the front side. Machined the lip off th cv cup and recessed the rotor. Then used 3 screws to secure. Then the cv joint goes on the front of that. Also saw this dual setup on a car. The last picture has rotors on both inboard joints. It’s shaky but you can see the idea.

Yes sir, the lower rotor in the 1st picture is what I have. Single caliper setup just like a Pilot or Odyssey.

Since I'm getting a ton of valuable photos! - what are you guys using for the secondary clutch on the tranny? Comet 90D? Any pics you can share? :)

I don’t have a 1 inch shaft ☹️... I use a 350 Ody secondary with a brace to keep the input shaft alive. If I had a 1 inch input, I’d hang a sled sencodary on it in a second.

Came with the car, it was just powder coated red. Here is a before pic. This car was a bucket. Second picture is how we loaded it. Wouldn’t start or even roll. The cv’s fell apart when the owner tried to push it out of the barn. Intake boot was torn. Almost 1600 miles to pick it up and bring it back.

Worth every mile.
Love these old racers. Great handling, smooth ride and built like tanks.

I can't find a company named "HRD" for clutches...Who makes that secondary clutch on the red one?

For anyone that uses facebook - i created a triple e buggies group a few months back (i'm the only member :) - and I've added a ton of pictures of cars I've come across - and even an add from when the desert lite's were sold. Join and add pics...I like this forum, but read that hoser doesn't come on here much - which means it might go away someday...figured facebook might get more hits in the future.

Harold was the guys first name of HRD. He passed away years ago. He made clutched for quite a few of the cars/teams in MTEG. I will look up your page on fb. I have over 600 pictures I’ve taken of my build or collected of these types of cars. Mostly triple e but some different generations of Briggs cars.

BS on this forum is selling one. It has the same trans. They where called Burton. He is on fb as well. His is setup with a 670 in it. I don’t think it is finished though. That pic you have of the brake rotor looks just like one he sent me earlier this month. The white/black triple e on your page is sitting in my garage. You can check out some of the pics of my buggy on this site but fb is more in depth.
