if you have warn out Engine mounts and find that they are no longer available and you don't have the ingenuity for CO to make your own, you can breath new life into them.
I bought some large O-rings I believe they were 258, the oring thickness is about 0.13". I cut this into short pieces to fit into the grooves of the Honda mounts, used a little super glue to hold them in, tied some lacing cord around them to hold in place and let set for a few minutes.
then fit the mount into the trany or Engine, the lacing cord will slide down as you push in the mount, cut the cord and pull out of the way and continue to seat the mount, done.

I've done the install, it fits tight but should still retain the vibration absorption they were meant to do, I'll put in some pictures, everyone likes pictures :-)

if I find my frame develops any cracking, I'll be sure to post in this thread.

CO, please post a link to your Engine mount DIY thread.

Pictures!
I'm sure they are probably all sideways or upside down, sorry about that.

Kind of backwards ordered but you get the idea.

HEY I like that idea.
Way to think outside the box.

Edit: There is several reasons why I don't make more Engine mounts and sell them.
1) That jaylow goof incident -- I learned a lot from that one.
2) Because of #1 above I have to be sure of the guy I am helping so that might put me in a position of helping one member but not another. Unless a member has around 500 posts and has been here a long time, we really don't know the character of that newbie -- right ??
3) I am a functional guy -- that means what is good enough for me may not be good enough for the next guy. I am not the Honda factory here so there is no way to make something "factory".

I always share what I know with anyone. I'm like that at work too.
I feel this way because keeping "secrets" don't work well for the company - me - or you.
We are here to help the company make money and in fact I hope the fags make trillions. If the homos are making money they won't fk around with us or lay us off. If I feel like taking a half hour coffee break I fkn will, but you can be sure the factory is running when I do that. If I'm sittin on my azz your making money so pizz off. With regards to our hobby it's the same. Others have helped me and I will help others. I do that by not keeping secrets and helping out with any info I got but I am now careful with sending any parts. If anyone (long time 500 member) is in a bite I can make some mounts but I would have to buy some rubber mix as my old stuff is dried out now and nearly empty anyways. It's better if you make your own because it really is satisfying and very easy to do yourself.

Edit again: I actually sent a couple of Engine mounts to a member because he said he lost them, for FREE in exchange for a ride report on them (long time member but few posts), We never got that ride report.
